Monday Morning

We had a reprieve this morning--coolish temperatures.
And wind, which brought more dust during the night.
You can see where the extension cord was:

We went for our 5:30 a.m. walk, then went to Tracker Riley Track
for our second walk.
We haven't been there in months!
It was a long walk because we had so much to sniff and had to stop and sit every time someone walked past,
or there was a cyclist.
We saw these cockies and an ibis enjoying breakfast.
Some one had chalked this sign on the path.
We did walk a long way along the river.
These roos stopped to watch us.
Then 4 more, bounded across in front of us
too fast for the camera.
(We couldn't chase them, either)
On the way home SHE bought a morning bun....just for HERSELF!

But we did get a treat when we got home.

  1. Oh dear ones you 3 and HER and all of your country and critters
remain in my prayers and thoughts. These fires are just heartbreaking and all the homes lost and people leaving their homes and all the animals....Looks like you had a very good walk and thank goodness it was a wee bit cooler.
    Hugs to you all

  2. One morning bun, did you look fixedly at her with your eyes wide open in starvation with drool making a puddle on the floor. That usually works for me. We pray for all the animals caught in the fires and having no water.

  3. I've not commented on your last few posts -- But I am keeping up with you -- I hate to use my phone to comment. But I'd thought you were faraway from the fires there, and am glad that you are. Stay safe, enjoy that delicious looking bun, and have another just because! Take care!
