No More Ride the Wind....

for me...

Photobombing by Dui.

The back window I usually hang out is stuck in the down position.

It came up on Sunday morning,
but got stuck down again on Monday.

SHE says I stood on the button and made it go down.
SHE didn't notice until I jumped out at the river.

SHE also says it probably has several year's worth
 of mud and water from dripping dogs
 clogging up the works.
We say it's just poor workmanship.

 Whatever reason, it now has a Window Sock over it
 until it's repaired
AND since it's nearly Spring, it will stay there to provide shade.

So no more Wind in the Fur.

And for something different.....

We have our first jar of Worm Wee.
It'll be diluted in a 1:10 ratio and put on the plants.
Just in time for Spring on Monday.

Our Friend Jazzi

We looked through Jazzi's blog to find the perfect picture of her.
But they were all perfect.
Jazzi was a larger than life scottie, who taught us so much.....

*how to steal a taco (or other snack) and get away with it;
*that scotties CAN climb trees to meet tree rats on their territory;
*scotties can drive red 'vertables across country;
*how to avoid being thrown into leaf piles in Autumn;
*about avoiding trampolines;
*snoopervising building projects.
*how to be a friend;
and the delights of eating tacos.

Our friend Jazzi had to cross the Bridge,
something no one expected.
She left us some wonderful memories.
Run Free, Jazzi.
If you would like to send thoughts or wishes to Jazzi's family,
go here.
(Our comments are turned off.)
According to Ranger's crazy calendar,
today is Ride the Wind Day....

Daisy was our Ride the Wind girl.

May the wind be with you....

Annual Visit to the Vets'

Today we headed to the vets'.

First off was Bella who did her usual quaking routine and tried
 her best to hide on the table.

Then Roxy.....
If looks could kill...
And finally Dui...
Everyone fit and immunized for another year.
(And Bella wasn't as overweight as SHE thought.)

Then it  was time to celebrate....

with some wild games.....

Bella doesn't join in the crazy games.
She usually hides behind HER because the others torment her.
That's why she isn't often in a photo with the other two.
We've forgotten all about the doctor now.
(But Dui has another appointment in two weeks.)

Our kibble bag has this message....

 SHE says 'why'?

We love puddles, water in plant pots and the river, best.

We tend to ignore 'clean water.'
We LOVE messin' with HER mind!

You know our tough little brother Dui,

 who is usually in the middle of wild games;

 rips up tennis balls;
pulls branches off bushes;
digs holes;
destuffs toys
and generally causes havoc around our house?

Well, he has a secret.

He sleeps with a teddy bear!
It's his size.
It was here when he arrived and he sleeps with it every night.
Big Bear has not been chewed-- even has the original bow.
Once Roxy grabbed it and was throwing it around,
Dui rescued Big Bear and put him way back in his crate
so she couldn't get it.

Bear had a brown tinge to his fur, so he had to be washed.
But he's back in bed waiting for Dui tonight.
Guess you can't be tough all the time when you're only 5 months old.

Puppy Love...

Dui has a girlfriend!!!

Please ignore the stick stuck in his fur.

Her name is Princess Leah.

Turns out she's a 'nado, too.  A Leah-nado!
They both love digging in plants, bringing bark and sticks inside; chewing cardboard shoes....
They're two of a kind!

Go visit her and give her a huge Blogville welcome!

(We're not sure she loves Dui, but he thinks everyone does--he's that kind of pup!)

The Little Big Dog...

Whatever's going down at the river...

 Dui is part of it!

He gets stomped on, rolled and knocked about.
But it doesn't faze him.

 Often he's bringing up the rear....
 But he's there...eventually.
 He just loves it.
 Sometimes he does sit out for a few minutes
 to build up his energy level again.
Then it's back in the game.
Size doesn't matter.

We've Got WORMS!!

Today, a big box arrived at our house.

 It's our new Worm Farm.

SHE put it together.

 At the moment it only has one Worm Bed Tray.
There are supposed to be 500 worm in here.
We didn't count them.
 Hopefully, they'll multiply and eat our fruit, vegie peelings,
 and paper.
Then the other trays will be added as needed.
In a few weeks, we should be able to draw off Worm Wee
with that little tap.
(The porous cloth will prevent the worms falling into the wee
and drowning.)
Then SHE'll water down the wee concentrate
to fertilize the plants and garden.
(It's on a small table so small scotties won't play with it.)
So we've got worms!

Re: Yesterday's post.

If we get one of those driverless cars
.....this might be a reality!

Notice this is a 1987 Larson Cartoon.

And now for something different!

Yes, it's Ernie's birthday today!
Stop by and wish him a Happy Birthday!

Monday Morning Musing

Do You think
when driverless cars become common

 we'll be able to take ourselves for drives?
I'd like one with a sun roof.
