Roxy and Buddy

Look at this gorgeous morning...it's about 6:30 a.m.
And we are off to the nearby park for a morning run.

Some mornings Buddy, the Staffordshire Terrier is there.

Roxy loves him.  He loves Roxy, too.
They race around madly.  Sometimes Bella joins in for a few minutes.
The humans have to watch those crazy dogs, because they never look where they are going.  Once, they knocked Buddy's mum's legs out from under her and she landed on her back.
I stay right away from them.  Can you see me, Daisy, way in the back getting ready to roll?

These blurry pictures.......

just sum up Roxy and Buddy!!!

Car Ride!

This morning we piled into our little car.
Hurry up!  Put down that flashy box and let's get going!
Car rides are always exciting.....(look carefully and you can see Bella on the floor.)

Are we going to the river?

The big soccer fields?

Into town?

The Dog Park?

Our friend Millie's?

Along the cycleway?

NO!

This can't be right!
I went in first.  SHE's been worried that I've been eating slowly and there may be something wrong with my teeth.
But NO!  Nothing wrong with the teeth (I just like to eat slowly) and other than being fat, I was in perfect condition.

After my annual needle..... and a liver treat.  It was Bella's turn.

Look at her, she's plastered to the wall and shaking--about point 9 on the Richter Scale.
It's a wonder she isn't all blurred.  But again, other than being fat, she's perfect, too.

Needle, liver treat and she's back in the car.

Now it's Roxy's turn.  You should have heard her barking and whinging in the car while we had our turns.  Such a fuss.

Look at her, she couldn't wait to go in!
Soon, she realised that it wasn't what she expected.

But, she's in perfect condition....not fat.....quick needle, liver treat and back in the car.
Hopefully, we won't have to go back for another whole year!

BTW...... Our Vet's just happens to be very close to the soccer fields....
So we had a great time playing and sniffing before we went home!

Extra protection

A few followers commented  about not knowing that dogs need sunscreen, so we thought we'd explain.

Australia has the dubious honour of having the highest incidence of skin cancer in the world.
We were surprised when our cousin who visited recently, kept saying 'yer alls (she talks like that)..yer alls sun is so strong.'  She was here in winter AND she's from San Antonio Texas, so we thought her sun would be just as strong....  Anyway...

We scotties are black and have VERY thick fur.  We get hot easily and don't generally lie in the sun.

But Roxy is mostly white and has a thin coat.  She also has pink, nearly bald, patches especially on her nose and around her eye.
She also loves to lie in the sun....
So she has to have sunscreen to protect her.  At first we did try human zinc, but the Vet said that she might lick it off and get zinc poisoning.  We have a special dog sunscreen now.

We've discovered that dirt adheres to the sunscreen.....
So Roxy is getting an extra layer protection.....BOL!

Guess who's back!!!

 .....Our Fourth Dog....

  remember Somedoggy?
She's been busy this week.  We call her a she because we only have girls in our house, so she must be one, too.
Anyway...
Somedoggy pulled our scottie fur out of the bucket after we were tortured groomed.
And Somedoggy dribbled water ALL OVER the kitchen floor.
And Somedoggy has been pruning the plants...
Also, Somedoggy put HER Croc too close to the heater and now SHE has trouble putting the left one on!

Somedoggy has been pulling out the plastic for keeping weeds out of the garden....again.

Somedoggy has been digging holes near the fence and destuffing toys.  Then Somedoggy has been bringing dirt inside.
Somedoggy pulled up this succulent...and chewed it a bit.
Somedoggy also dug up the choko SHE planted and chewed off the sprouted bit.
We've been looking for Somedoggy everywhere...
But she's so elusive.

Hi Everyone, it's Daffodil Day today.
So not only do we have these beautiful daffodils, but we've made a donation to help Cancer Research.

Now we're ready for the weekend to start!

Another Frosty Morning

 Another frosty morning....
Daisy
 We love frosty mornings
Bella
BUT, something is happening.

Our early morning walk is getting earlier.  It's getting light earlier....the sun is coming up earlier.
The days are getting warmer...and longer.
Bella and Roxy
Soon all the Football Grand Finals will be played and the action will shift to the cricket pitches.
Daisy and Roxy--way in the distance along the Cricket pitch.
And if we had any doubt that winter may be coming to an end.

Just look at our Magnolia!!!
And Roxy is wearing sunscreen on her pink nose.

You know how Roxy loves our little heater.....
And she loves destuffing toys......(this was a supervised destuffing for the Olympics)
She also love carrying around HER socks and slippers whenever she get the chance. (Bet you can see where this is going....)

The other afternoon when SHE was in the bedroom ignoring us reading, SHE got a whiff of something strange.

When SHE investigated, SHE found HER lambswool slipper LEANING up against the heater!

We knew exactly who the culprit was this time....

Reprieved!

Bella and I are very furry and unkempt--HER word--at the moment because it's still winter.
Me, Daisy

Bella
We haven't been tortured groomed for awhile because we had to go 'camping' while SHE went to Sydney.

Then because we had such beautiful weather this week, there were mutterings about us having to be groomed.

BUT

Today turned out cold and windy.....

 SO.....
We just got to go for a walk in the wind.....and we're allowed to be fuzzy for a bit longer.

Home......

 Sweet Home

Yes, we're back from camping!

Roxy is catching up on comfortable sleeping....
Bella is watching the Closing Ceremony in London.....
And I, Daisy, am making sure cats haven't taken over while we were gone!
Hope you had a GREAT weekend.

Thanks everyone for your input.
Originally we were just Internet Explorer, Google, when we had problems before we went to Google Chrome.

We have now moved to Firefox....and so far everything's okay.

We've noticed that Google now has a plus.  Seems when they moved to Google Chrome that's when the first Google acted up.....hmmmmmmmmmm.

We're going camping for the weekend....again.

Question

Bella                Daisy                  Roxy
We have a question this morning.  Does anyone know why Blogger/Google Chrome/ or our computer has decided that everyone lives, or should live in Australia?  It keep adding .au to all addresses and then of course says they don't exist...duh.

Sometimes it refuses to recognise UK addresses and has decided we're not allowed to visit Benny and Lily AT ALL.

We have been able to get around this problem by typing in the addresses, but it is becoming a pain.

We have also unclicked the stay signed in box,  erased the History, restored the system, and had our computer checked by a technician.  It is very annoying.  Especially as it's the Blogville Olympics.

So we are open to suggestions.
