Nearly No Gizzards!

Yep....SHE forgot to take the chicken gizzards out of the freezer this morning before we went to the river.

 We always have gizzards with gravy on our kibble on weekends.

And you know why? 

Because we got TWO packages, both addressed

to Dui, but for HER.

Books!

And this beautiful card.

The second, did have a present for Dui.

A pheasant that sounds a bit like a burping duck.

He's missing those white feet at the moment.

They came all the way from England from Princess Leah!

They're about Chatsworth House--the site of Princess Leah's personal Tower.

 

Because SHE was finishing off another book, SHE had to wait until today to start them.  SHE started with the smaller and will move on to the other....

 It was a gorgeous, sunny day, so as soon as we returned from the river, SHE sat outside, read and

nearly didn't make our gizzards!

 

Bedtime Treats for the Week...

We ran out of peanut butter.

SHE was making us some more peanut butter treats.

SHE usually melts the peanut butter in the microwave.

As there was enough left in the plastic jar,  SHE got the bright idea of just melting it IN the jar.

However, the jar melted.

Luckily, SHE noticed it before the PB got plastic in it.

 The treats came out all right anyway.

And we don't care anyway.

So that's one scheme that won't be repeated.

Tornado Rips Through Dubbo...

Yep, ripped right through Dubbo....

According to the News Report. 

We found out when a friend about 400 miles away rang to see 

if we were okay. 

It did wreck a few sheds and damaged a few houses out of town.

And we missed the whole thing.

But we didn't miss the huge thunderstorm that woke us yesterday morning.  It didn't bother us much, but we didn't like the rain pelting down on our tin roof!

Luckily it was all over  by Walk Time!

Don't know how real it is.....but thought it was interesting.

An Earthquake in Central New South Wales!!!

Not really, it was time for Bella's Annual check-up and needles!

She shakes so much we're sure Scientists are pondering the strange quake activity on their Seismographs.

Her weight is approximate--couldn't get an exact reading.

She's not as overweight as we thought.

While waiting for the vet, she tried to escape,

But was intrigued for a few seconds by a picture of a cat on the window.

Then retreated to hide under a chair.

No more photos as she had to be held and comforted while on the examination table.

We're happy to report she's healthy, has clean teeth, and has had all her injections.

So it'll be another year before those confusing Seismograph readings show up again! (We hope.)

A Strategic Mistake and WARNING.

Most of us know missing breakfast, or morning treats does not 

bode well.  

It can mean an unpleasant visit to the Vet.....just sayin.

We have also found that suddenly having DINNER for breakfast, means something is up!

A few weeks ago, we had dinner for breakfast (and NO walk)

and SHE left us ALL ALONE for 30 HOURS!

SHE went to Sydney for dinner.

The neighbours had been alerted that we were 

HOME ALONE

in case the house caught fire or we were barking too much!

This was where we made the mistake.  The neighbours 

reported that we made NO noise and were perfect.

Yesterday morning, we were served DINNER, again!

NO Walk and SHE disappeared for 14 hours, driving to

Sydney for lunch.  Again, we were perfect, so we think it just may happen again.  BE WARNED, don't be too good when your peeps are away and be suspicious of BIG Breakfasts!

Hi Everyone,

We've just been doing the same things here:  chasing birds, cats, each other 

and going on the same walk at the river.

You should have seen how dirty those scotties were this morning.
