First Frog of the Season

Happy Monday everyone...and Halloween.

Last night, just before we were let out for business  the last time, Bella sat at the door looking as if she HAD to go out.

When the door was opened, she pounced and brought this little frog inside!  SHE was yelling NO and chasing the poor thing around--quite a performance.
SHE was trying to head it off before it got under something--chasing it with a container.
(But was too chicken to pick it up)
We just watched the fun.

Finally it jumped into our water dish.
And SHE was able to take outside.
Bella looked hopefully at the refilled bowl....maybe another one would magically appear.

(SHE was appalled at how dirty the floor was in the pictures so SHE had to clean the floor straight-away.)

A Gift for Halloween

When SHE went to Virginia in September and met the Rocky Creek Scotties, they gave HER these fabulous Halloween bandanas for us!  We've been waiting a whole month to show them off!
So here we are...
Bella, Daisy and Kendra

'Could you stop waving that chicken stick around....and just give it to us?!!'
So we want to thank Piper, Lilly, Carrleigh, Ruairi and Lynn.  THANK YOU SO MUCH!
(Do we look great or what...!)
Note:  SHE only took 5 photos and they were all okay!
A new record!

Two subjects

I, Daisy, have to tell you what happened this morning.
SHE had to work today, so that meant that Bella and I had to go on a HER walk.  A HER walk means that we just pee-mail...just walking.
It's not our favourite kind of walk; but hey, it IS a walk.
Anyway, we were belting along when we saw a CAT.  It stopped and got very low to the ground, near a storm water drain.  When we got near, that CAT walked right up to us and sniffed our noses!
We were shocked!
In fact, we just stood there like statues!
We've never been that close to a CAT...usually they run from us.
Finally, when SHE dragged us down the street, we recovered enough to bark and lunge.
But that CAT just looked at us!

Subject 2
Kendra stayed home.  She can't go on our long, fast walks.
Kendra (with her wonky beard)
But we took her on a slow--dead slow-- walk around the reserve this afternoon. (At least we could sniff everything.)  Kendra is still just being herself.  She  barks at anyone who comes near the house, tries to intimidate Bella to steal her food, alerts us to meal or snack times, digs holes and chases her ball.  She is well.  Just slow.

Warmer Weather

Yesterday was warm--about 86 F--so in the evening we went for a walk along the river.

Bella leads the way across the bridge.

No 'roos today.

Lots of thistles--the birds love them.

Daisy took time out to roll whenever she found a good spot.

We can see the bridge where our beach is.
We couldn't go to Our Beach because there was another dog there and she told us rudely that she didn't like us and it was her beach.  So we went to the other side.
We chased away this cockatoo that was having a drink.

Then raced around.  I, Daisy, went for a paddle.
 But Bella....
...did her scottish retriever act again.

Shhhhh...please don't tell!

We think Bella interfered with the kick.... thus causing New Zealand to win the Rugby World Cup!
We think she was barracking (rooting being a naughty word here) for the All Blacks (NZ) because she's all black.

*We're sorry.

No new photos....

.......our camera died.  We already have a new one, but it's battery is being charged.

Anyway....we'll tell about our day using old pictures.

This morning we took Kendra to the duck pond.  She can't keep up with us and misses out on walks.  So we took her to the duck pond because she loves it and it didn't matter how slow she was.
Then, Bella and I (Daisy) went for an evening walk along the river.
Our friend Gwen was there today, so the three of us ran around and searched the drains.  When we got to Our Beach....we paddled and rolled in the sand and just ran around like crazy dogs.

On the way back, the two 'roos were just on the other side of the fence.  Bella and I chased those 'roos along the fence line.  (Gwen wasn't interested.) We couldn't find a way into the paddock.  But that didn't stop us.  We thought we might have lost Bella at one point.  She raced ahead to the end of the fence and then chased them back until we lost sight of them.
These are the roos a few months ago.  The little one is big now.
We'll be looking for those 'roos every time we walk that way.
 It was so exciting.

We love...... go visit our friend Millie.  We went yesterday (Sunday).

Daisy, Bella and Millie
Millie has a great yard for zoomies.
Millie chasing Bella
 It's good for rolling, too.
Millie tries to get Daisy to stop rolling.
There's shade when we rest from zooming.
Millie starts bitey face with Bella, Daisy rushes up to join in and if you look carefully in the upper left-hand corner, you can see Kendra wandering off.
Kendra led us on an excursion into Millie's Dad's shed.
He loves motorbikes. (Norton's and Triumphs.)
Then it was outside for more play.
'Come on, Daisy.  You can't be tired already!'

'Bella.....I know you'll play some more!'
Visiting Millie is always  fun!!!
