Last Day of Winter

Today was the last day of winter.  That's not to say we won't have any more cold, wet weather.  But it is getting warmer.  We started the day at the Vets having our annual check ups and booster shots.  We're all healthy and got liver treats for good behaviour!
We went for a drive and I got excited.  What is that?
 It's huge.
 It looks bigger close up.
This is as close as I'm going to get.
 Okay, that's enough......coming back.
Besides there are much more interesting (and smaller) things here in the grass.

Bunny Again

Look closely.  Can you see him?  We nearly missed him.

But it was bunny.  Bella buried him again.
She wasn't happy when we unearthed it.  She grabbed it and ran away.
It was taken away, given a bubble bath and pegged on the line to dry.  Bella sat and looked at him for a long time.

Visiting Millie

Another beautiful Sunday. Today we went to visit Millie.
We ran around.
And chased each other.
Millie is as long as we are now. We hadn't seen her for a few weeks.

We had rests.
And were off again.

She wasn't quite sure about Kendra's rolling.
She thought Kendra was strange.
Millie looks a bit strange in this picture herself.

She and Bella played together most of the time.

They love those wild games.
We all love going to visit Millie.
AND Millie loves us to visit.

Look what's happening!

Last week was cold (for us). The towns east of us had snow. In fact, the Snowy Mountains ski areas have had the best falls for years. SHE worked all week, so we only had hurried 'business' walks in the morning.
We were very surprised yesterday on our more leisurely walk to discover......
These trees starting to blossom.
And daffodils.
These are actually weeds, but we like them, when they're not in our garden because the look like daisies.
Even our Magnolia has decided it's time to blossom.
Everywhere we looked there was some new flower growing.
Looks like Spring is sneaking up on us.
(Now if we can just get rid of the cold wind.)

Bunny Hunt

Remember Bunny?
After some emergency surgery to have his squeaker replaced and bottom sewn up, Bella carried him around for a few days. We watched her carefully and wouldn't let her take it outside.
This lasted until SHE had to work all week. Sometime during the week bunny disappeared. We've had a bunny hunt inside, and today we'll try outside. Bella likes to bury stuffies. As it has rained all week, it may not be in very good shape, but we'll see if we can find it today!

Why do I always get the blame? Anyway, prove it; it's circumstantial evidence.

Note: Because of all the rain, the dams are filling up. Our local reservoir has gone from 10% full to about 65%. Those rabbits on rocks were trapped when the dam they were in filled. We don't know what happened to them as they were in a place where boats could not get to them. It was a photo from the newspaper.

Bella's bad manners.

I keep telling her to put the meat on the top. I always eat the meat first!
Bella's mess.

A Break in the Rain

We had a break in the rain yesterday. It was a beautiful day.
So off we went on a walk along the river.

Lots to sniff.

Not many people, so we could run.
We rested for a few minutes under the big bridge. The supports are decorated with Aboriginal paintings.
Then off again. Even Kendra was excited and not lagging behind.
Nosy Bella got stuff stuck to her face and skirt, so she couldn't walk.
A quick clean and we were off again.
Can you find that nosy Bella in this picture?
We walked down to the 'beach' but there were lots of people there, so we had to be on leads and couldn't get any pictures. Then we turned around, retraced our steps and went home.
This morning the rain is back.

Treats

Lots of dogs have been asking what kind of treats we had that kept us busy for half an hour.
Usually, we just chew up everything in a minute or two. Scotties have BIG mouths and teeth.
Here it is.

WE LOVE THEM!
(Of course, we love most things.)
