Many of you know that we have a zoo just down the road from us.
It is an open-range, breeding zoo.
Breeding animals that are endangered.
Years ago when the perimeter fences were put up,
some of the native species were fenced in, where they thrive.
So our African Savannah exhibit has
a local flair.
A GIRAFFE!!!! Wow that's so cool...I didn't realise they were soooo big, Mr Roo looks tiny!
ReplyDeleteAnd is the fence to keep THEM in or Dui OUT?

ReplyDeletethat's amazing... a roo meets a giraffe, what a great moment :o) I bet that picture would confuse Mr. Darwin lol ... but who knows maybe once we will have a roo-raffe of a gir-karoo?

Great photo - that is such fun to live nearby. We have a Wildlife Park in Yorkshire that takes in animals from run down zoos and works as part of the breeding programme for endangered species too. Sadly no dogs allowed but my peeps go often to see the beautiful animals there. Woods and licks from Magic xx
ReplyDeleteWow. I wonder if the kangaroo ever tries to jump up on the giraffe's back?
ReplyDeleteAn open-range, breeding zoo is wonderful that they can be free. In Nati City we have a zoo but not open-range but we are know for our breeding program particularly our white Bengal tigers. Our neighbor works at the zoo in the Rhino program and travels the world to help when a Rhino is expecting.
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a friend

ReplyDeleteHoly smokes...I have nothing like THAT to bark at in my neighborhood!!

What a cute pair. That roo can use the giraffe for shade. Mommy loves giraffes and Sammie Jean's harness has them on it.
