Watch the birdies....

There are usually lots of birds at the Sports Ground.
These are Galahs.

 Roxy always stalks them.
 She moves in very slowly.....
She pretends she isn't interested in them.....
 Then moves closer.....
And finally she makes her move!

But sometimes,
just as she's ready to pounce,
Bella or I charge passed her and make the birds fly away!
Daisy races in to chase the birds!
She hates that!
(evil laugh...)

  1. We've never seen those lovely birds before so we looked them up and seems they are rose-breasted cockatoos. It's a good game stalking and chasing...Annie plays the same game chasing the seagulls on our beach!

  2. Ha ha we know that one. My crew often ruin my squirrel stalking the same way. No patience I say. Never heard of a galah. I stalk crows. Have a terrific Tuesday.

  6. Oh, I had to laugh - Roxy has the same approach to galahs as I have to crows (well, ravens realy, I guess) - I stalk them and try very very hard to catch them but strangely enough, I haven't managed it yet!! Great photographs!

  7. What a bunch of galas! You know those sell for thousands of dollars here in the states....that is probably about 25,000 dollars they were chasing! And to think Aussie farmers consider then to be pests ;)

  13. I'm more mature now (or should that be "not") but when I was younger, They put out food for the wild birds. My self appointed job was to protect the wild bird food from the wild birds.
