Because it's dark in the mornings, we are now going for
Street Light Walks.
It also means the cats of the 'hood
are still on the prowl.
We call the cul-de-sac end of our street
the Gauntlet of Cats.
There are always felines in front yards
on both sides.....
and we have to stay close to HER with our
retractable leads LOCKED so we can't lunge.
After Marmalade, the big ginger tom, moved out
most of the cats now are black with a splash of white.
SHE doesn't see them in the dark--we DO!
But the past few weeks there has been a new
kitty. We call him Ghost Kitty.
This is an Identikit picture we made of him.
We don't know where Ghost Kitty lives because he is always in a different front yard!
Sometimes he will flatten himself when we pass, but
sometimes he rears up and hisses at us!
Yesterday, morning he was gone.
We didn't see him anywhere....
Then Dui STOPPED and stared behind us.
Ghost Kitty was walking down the street BEHIND us!
Oh dear me nuttin' worse than a ghost cat with a Cat-i-tude behind you. Dui needs to keep on with the staring.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have cats everywhere. Hopefully none are brave enough to climb over your fence.
Are you experiencing much of fall weather yet?
Hugs to you 3 and HER!!
Madi and mom
Spooky or what?!
ReplyDeleteThat is so frightening. I don't know why they are allowed to run free and we are not. It hs changed the entre dog/cat relatonship.
ReplyDeleteIf a ghost can be seen, it can't be doing a very good job at bein a ghost.
ReplyDeleteThat Ghost Kitty is a bit spooky looking:) We would not do well with even just one kitty on our walk, never mind a gauntlet of them.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
OH NO...Is Ghost Kitty following you?? This guy sounds a little scary!!!
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Jakey, Arty and Rosy
You sure have to walk a kitty gauntlet every time you take a walk. Maybe the Ghost Kitty wants to be friends.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he wants to come home wif ya.
ReplyDeleteHe does look like a ghost and kinda scary
ReplyDeletehugs
Hazel & Mabel
wow scary!!! we currently see lots of cats while our morning walks too... the mama said it is THAT time... no clue what she meant but I saw two cat friends who supported each other... one carried the other one on it's back....
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like the cats are taking over your neighborhood! A cat following me would totally whig me out!
ReplyDeleteThere are twin ginger cats on our street. Sometimes when we are tracking one, the other one comes up behind us. They sleep on our porch and Mom gets mad because they leave hairballs that she has to clean up.
ReplyDeleteMe and Stanley are cat hunters so this would really make us crazy!
ReplyDeleteKeep Calm & Bark On!
Murphy & Stanley
A regular clutter of cats. Maybe some early morning Mom should drop the leashes and let you sort them out. That would be a scurry of scotties n a spottie, clearing the clutter of cats on the cul de sac!
ReplyDeleteOoooo a stalker!!!
ReplyDeleteGhost kitty is very handsome. Though he shouldn't go around sneaking up on you like that.
ReplyDeleteOh nose, don't let the Push-t-Cat sneak up behind you!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI had an All Black one do the arch back thingy when it saw me this morning...I wanted to chase butt the peeps thought it safer I didn't as Mr Arch Top was not in the mood to run
Loves and licky kisses

When Mommy was little she had a cat named Snowball who went walking with her and Sir Lass (her Border Collie). We wanted to wish Roxy a Happy Barkday.
