Dui whinges (whines, cries) a lot.
When we walk past barking fences, he cries.
Sometimes at night, he just cries.
He also occasionally just gives a shrill bark...one that makes HER nearly hit the roof.
He 'arroooos' when frustrated.
Dui does not come or allow himself to be caught until he sees what's going to happen. However, when tricked and caught, he just gives in and accepts whatever...
He sleeps in doorways, and doesn't move for the vacuum.
Dui is the only who wears a collar at night, yet every morning when the other two are having their collars put on,
he runs and hides.
Bella's quirks involve water. If near the river, she'll head for the water. She will not leave until all humans--all chances of someone throwing rocks for her have disappeared. If there is a fisherman, she will stay. Otherwise, she doesn't go near other people.
In the car, she always sits on the floor squished
between the driver's seat and back seats.
She has to be last.
Always way behind us when free, or on the lead.
(We think she's ashamed to be seen with us. She's the only one with papers.)
This means she arrives at sniffing places after the others, then does her anvil act while we wait.
However, after going to the river, she will walk into the laundry room to be dunked, so she can go inside.
And she loves to watch television--anything with animals.

We hope you enjoy our quirkiness, We've enjoyed your quirks, too.
Dui I'm with you...I often make such scary noises that the mama drops efurrything she has in her hands... to be a very verbal pup pays off ;O)))
ReplyDeleteI whine a lot when on walkies too, Dui, and it drives mom nuts! I love meeting people, Bella. Most of them are very nice!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that one of the things we all love about our dogs? The silly stuff each one does. Jimmy loves to watch TV, Wilson doesn't know it is even there!
ReplyDeleteIt seems that we all have our quirks. Yours are very interesting though. We aren't much for vocalizing except when we are playing.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy reading about your life and quirks. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteDui - You don't move for the vacuum ?
ReplyDeleteKali is a nightmare in a car. She likes to get into the area of the driver's pedals. Of course, the Scottiemobile is a stick shift and she makes driving difficult.
ReplyDeleteI have conversations with Lee usually it is when I want something and Lee is not giving it to me. I never hide and always come when called because I don't want to miss out on what might be happening. I have also been known to grumble when we go to get mail and there is not a treat in my box for me. The post office is very good about leaving me treats.
ReplyDeleteSweet William The Scot
Lightning is the whiner here - he lets everyone know when he wants his dinner.
ReplyDeleteBoth Misty and Timber like to watch TV, and we ALL want to be first, not last:)
Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Mr Bailey loved to watch TV!

Bentley is a whiner in the car or when he needs something. Pierre talks and asks to get on the bed or couch. It is so sweet.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed reading all your quirkiness :-) Nose licks and love from Moth xx
ReplyDeleteI love to read about your quirks - It makes you all truly unique and that much more fun! ... This is a fun post and I may have to steal your idea and do a post of our own, but I don't know if we can top not moving for the vacuum - Todd lunges and barks at ours. I wonder what he'd do to a Roomba?
