Thursday, last week, we went to our 'clean' river walk--you can't get down into the river.
We found some bird feathers scattered around.
They smelled wonderful, but we were told to 'leave it!'
We did, and continued walking. Then SHE turned around and saw Roxy racing to catch up.
Roxy had been enjoying some Aroma Therapy....
she was covered in black gunk and smelled like a corpse!
SHE was not happy.
On the way home, SHE stopped by a new OUTDOOR dog wash that some of the people at the river were talking about.
And I, Roxy, had a dreaded bath right out there in public between two car parking lots!
At least the water was warm, it would have been the cold hose at home.
Can you see the FROST? |
We had no camera, so we stopped by on Saturday morning
to take a photo.
We found this happy fellow on Sunday morning.

ReplyDeleteA bath? At least the bird was happy. SQUAAAAAAAAAAAWK!
ReplyDeleteWhen we saw your title, somehow we knew where this post was headed:) Good thing for that outdoor place or the transport vehicle might never have smelled the same again.

Too bad Roxy had to endure the dreaded bath after her aroma therapy session.
ReplyDeleteThere really is nothing than aroma therapy! And I'll bet this was one time that Roxy wishes she was a bird.
ReplyDeleteYou left the bird feathers when you were told to?? Crikey ..... how good are you blokes? Way to go Roxy!! Corpse smell is the best, aye?? Sorry about the bath but better than the cold hose. I saw that frost. OMD!! What time of day was that??

Where dogs are concerned, there is no such thing as a guaranteed 'clean walk'.
ReplyDeleteRoxy - Sophie would be envious of the black gunk. The bath less so.

I wish we had an outdoor dog wash. I could probably wash the boys in the yard since our cold water comes out warm this time of summer!
ReplyDeleteAnd outdoor dog wash ~ do you put quarters in for so much water and quarters for soap ~ then is there a blow dry hose like a vacuum at the car wash. This sounds like something one would want to invest in. The sign says it always closes at 6P.M. I guess no night time baths allowed.
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a friend
