Yesterday afternoon, we had a HUGE storm--thunder, lightning, wind and buckets of rain.
Our back room flooded.
The front yard looked like a rice paddy.
This morning, there were a few puddles, but most of the water was gone.
And it was sunny again.
We were enjoying the river
when kayaks, canoes.

And swimmers arrived.
We told them just whose beach it is,
but they didn't listen!
They had a short break and then continued their 74-km swim
to the next town.
And we had the beach all to ourselves again!
Oh, all you snow-covered Blogvillians, keep warm!
That must have been a lot of rain to flood things so much. We hope all those intruders at least said excuse us and tossed you a few treats:)

I am VERY lucky... we did not get a single flake from THIS snow thingy... which is very unusual fur being this close to where the BIG LAKE is... which NORMALLY give US ... LAKE EFFECT Snow..
BUTT this is a BAD one fur a Big Area of Blogville...
There's nothing like a really good storm...the next days, though muddy and wet, are always so wonderful and clear!
