This morning I looked for MY cockie, but it wasn't there.....
SHE thinks this is the bird. It was way down by the river.
But, really, who can tell one cockatoo from another?
Dui was NOT shown the bird.
Later in the day, SHE went to a friend's who was trimming LAMB chops for dinner, and we got the off-cuts and a couple of whole chops deemed not good-looking enough for the guests.
SHE stewed them up with carrots and rice.
We had a very tasty dinner--and there's some for tomorrow,
as well.
Later..............
SHE found these ads on the computer.....
And our favourite....Roxy is one of these....
Don't know whether to laugh or cry...
Your lamb dinner looks delish. I have never had lamb. The ads are funny. Don't they have spell-check down-under, or dictionaries for the meaning of purebred? We like "stuffy purebred."
ReplyDeleteLicks,
Marley
Oh yum, yum, those dinner bowls look sooooo tasty!
ReplyDeleteI've got an English Stuffy, he was white when I got him but he's now rather brown and chewed.......oh Mum says they didn't mean that sort of stuffie!
Loves and licky kisses

Cockatoo? Male? Single?
ReplyDeleteone one hand I feel sorry for that pups and I hope for a happy end.... but I laughed as I read that ads. We have such a smarty-pants in our hood too. She planned to breed chihuahua's because she thought that's an unknown breed in our area... yes... because she thought it means tschiwahwah :o(
ReplyDeleteno sure which is sadder - that people don't care to check their spelling or that they can't spell.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness....me...folks don't understand pets are FOREVER not just for right now. You know my daughter recently adopted to Shelter cats..both are adorable.
ReplyDeleteMia the tortie is estimated to be over a year old. The Cat rescue called my daughter a few days after she adopted Mia to see how things were going with the introductions. My daughter said Mia is the most loving and accepting cat they are doing really well together. Daughter said I cannot believe someone gave her up.
The rescue lady said you would not believe what we see at shelters. She told her just the week before she had been at the shelter checking out some cats to rescue. A woman came in with her 8 year old daughter and 6 year old German Shepherd. She said she was turning in the GS because she wanted a puppy..instead. The rescue lady said the child was crying and sobbing. The woman left the GS.
It is just heartbreaking that some humans view pets as disposable.

You can never put too much pork in your mouth as far as I'm concerned.
ReplyDeleteNow why is Her looking at dogs in need of homes. Is Her thinking about adding to the family.
Thanks for being a friend
Sweet William The Scot
Sounds like they are no better at spelling than dog ownership eh.
ReplyDeleteDip and Elliot x
OMD Dui, surely the lamb, rice and carrots made up for not getting to catch the cockatoo.
ReplyDeleteAroo to you,
Sully
Lambs tastes much better than that meatless bird
ReplyDeleteLily & Edward
*wipes drool from keyboard* Your lamb dinner looks delicious! Is there enough for a guest to join you for dinner tonight?!?
ReplyDeleteOz
Very yummy looking dinner - lucky pups!
ReplyDeleteThe ads make us cringe. We've seen similar here too. Along with "pure bread" and "blue healer mix". Grrr.....
Your lamb stew sure does look tasty!
ReplyDeleteLady says it is so sad to see dogs so easily rehomed. She does understand for a few people, they may really be facing circumstances beyond their control, but most are just lazy. Lady says we would live in a cardboard box before she gave us up.
ReplyDeleteYour stew looks excellent. Lamb is a favourite of Lady's.
I rather like the idea of an English stuffy.
ReplyDeleteBut not as much as the idea of a lamb chop supper…
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
Oh some of the ads I see around here leave me scratching my head. I can't even figure out what some of them are trying to say. So much for the English language.
ReplyDeleteEnglish stuffy??? I thinks I am one of those!!!! BOL!!!!! hehehehe
ReplyDeleteOoooo, your dinner looks FABulous!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
Oh, what do these ads mean? Are you getting another sibling??
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
Now I are hungry!
ReplyDeleteLamb, score for you!! I don't even know what to say about those ads. So sad.
ReplyDeleteYum - that lamb dish looks pawesome. Hmmmm, is SHE thinking about adding a new brother or sister to you pack?
ReplyDeleteWoos - Ciara and Lightning
Wow that supper looked really good! I think maybe people that can't spell shouldn't have pets cause they don't keep them.
ReplyDeleteZiggy Out!!
Thats pawsome u got those lamb treats.
ReplyDeleteYou know our mom tortures herself reading ads like that. don't know why she puts herself through it. Can we come over and share some lamb??
ReplyDeletehugs
