It's the breeding zoo associated with the Taronga Zoo in Sydney.
The Rhino breeding program is one of the most important.
They are breeding successfully:
One initiative last year to raise AWARENESS and FUNDS for the program, was to have rhino statues painted by schools, artists, towns......anyone who wanted to participate.
These rhinos are on display in Sydney, our city Dubbo and towns in between.
These are just some of them. We have about 10 just around us.
|Upper left was designed by the kids at the school where SHE sometimes works.|
SHE came up with the brilliant idea of having us pose
These things are creepy.
We made HER WORK to get even this photo.
So SHE had to just make a collage of some of them.
(We did get LOTS of treats.)
I love Rhino's and what a great program xxxxoxxxxReplyDelete

I'm glad there are people who act as guardians for animals that have a rough time of it, especially those whose populations suffer because of stupid humans. You were both quite brave to pose there. I think perhaps you are frozen with fear.ReplyDelete
What a wonderful project the colorful Rhinos will be such an educational event all over. Mom thought the last Rhino was to celebrate St. Patrick's day at first.ReplyDelete
Bravo for making HER work for the last photo. You ladies are looking good
Hugs madi your bfff
We love the Rhinos.ReplyDelete
Love Ruby & Penny
Wonderful that the rhinos are being saved.ReplyDelete
I believe the Western black rhino of Africa has been hunted to extinction :-(
Very brave girls posing next to them :-)
They would be a bit scary to be near - but would gals are brave and you did a pawsome job getting sort of close to it :)ReplyDelete
OMD OMD That thingy is HOOOOOGE you girrrrls were VERY brave to sit by it.ReplyDelete
What a fabulous program. We knew you had a zoo, butt did NOT know that it was doing such a super thingy. You have every right to be very much PROUD of your zoo and what it is doing. BRAVO Dubbo Zoo!!
The Rhino Statues are all very pretty. THANKS fur sharing this with us.
Love it, I have really enjoyed checking out the rhino statues all around me too!ReplyDelete
Well at least you got lots of treats. We kind of think they are cute. We hope they raise lots of dosh for the breeding program. Have a marvellous Monday.ReplyDelete
Best wishes Molly
We would not have wanted to stand beside that without a lot of treats either!ReplyDelete
We have horse statutes all over town. Maybe we could trade some horses for rhinos?ReplyDelete
Murphy and Stanley
You may have a zoo near you. We have one in our living room.ReplyDelete
Yikes!! Those are big scary looking dogs! We have a zoo near us too and we love when Dad drives us past it. We get to enjoy all the smells.ReplyDelete
Totally sound strategy girls, regarding the HUGE red rhino thingie!ReplyDelete
OH that is just great, we don't have rhino's around here but we know they are big cos mom told us. Those statutes are beautiful. We would be scared also, and our mom would be doing something unlawful like trying to put us on top of the rhino to get the picture....we know our momma.ReplyDelete
How cool. They are like prehistoric animalsReplyDelete
Lily & Edward
Oh wow, they are incredible! How great to be able to stand right next to one.ReplyDelete

Love ya lots♥

Why last year I had to stand by every pig here in Porkopolis aka Cincinnati. Now there were like ninety pigs in the city. Consider yourself lucky you get dignified rhinos. My neighbor works for the Cincinnati Zoo with our rhinos.ReplyDelete
Thanks for being a friend
Sweet William The Scot.
Wow, that's awesome, although we would not want to face a rhino face to faceReplyDelete
We had a similar thing here in Kansas City with cows. Now a lot of people have purchased them and have them on display in their gardens:) We are with you girls, not sure we would want to pose with them either.ReplyDelete
Woos - Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning
We think u did a pawsome job posing by the rhino.ReplyDelete
Howdy Girls, yaahoo for breeding programs at the Zoo. We all love rhinos too and love, love, love all the rhino statues. Thanks for sharing mates. No worries, and love, Stella and RoryReplyDelete
Mom thinks baby rhinos are the cutest. Glad y'all got lots of treats for being difficult....good job. Thanks for sending me healing vibes and keep sending them please.ReplyDelete
Aroo to you,
How cool! We had painted cows in Austin when I lived dere.ReplyDelete
That pink shapey rhino looks pretty awesome! We've never seen a rhino before... we've never seen an elephant, we think.ReplyDelete
Great collage, Mom. I can understand how you feel.
OMD that is so pawsome!! Mom read just the other day that South Africa is in talks with Australia about sending as many Rhinos as we can to you for safe keeping - the Rhino poaching here in SA is totally out of control!!!ReplyDelete
Thanks for sharing this with us.
Wally & Sammy
