A Matter of.....

Ethics.
Fellow Blogvillians, an issue has arisen at our house
  regarding
Christmas cards.
And we need your help.

Below you will see eight cards (Exhibit A).
Every year SHE donates by purchasing gifts
This year it's chickens, ducks ,pencils, mosquito nets, crutches, eye glasses, fish farm and loans for disabled people to buy farm animals.

We, generous and big-hearted canines do not dispute how worthy this is--
we all know that some peeps in this world need assistance
as much as animals.
We have donated to our local Animal Shelter (though we didn't get a card).
Exhibit A
Remember, SHE donated to these charities
 and received cards in return....
So, in actuality,  SHE has sent these cards to HERSELF.
We have no difficulty with HER displaying said cards.

 However.....
Blogville, our question is....
Exhibit B
Can SHE now ethically count them in HER Christmas card tally?
Even though SHE's WAY behind...(Exhibit B).bwahaahaahaaa!
Roxy, Bella and Daisy

Blogville, we await your verdict!

  1. Hm, well IMHO...I know she technically sent those cards to herself, but she did so with kindness in her heart...so I think that she deserves those numbers in her card count! :-) I see my card! ;-)

  2. I suppose you have to look at the whole Christmas spirit thing, the caring and sharing...so, since it's a nice thing to do, maybe let HER include them. SHE might be feeling a bit out of sorts since you have so many?

  3. Woof! Woof! C'mon don't be so hard on her. I say YES. What a wonderful kindness she did. Golden Love. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

Hope you read our post today (Friday) and be able to join us next week ... Golden Woofs to your mom.

  4. We see our card! We see our card! Oh that's just perfect. I'm so so so glad that you guys have already received them! Oh the joy!

Mom, I'm sorry the ladies are giving you a hard time on this... I would personally add them in my tally... but at least you got more than I do. LOL. If it's any consolation, we have only received 5 e-cards as of today. Nothing more... nothing less. LOL.

  6. Oh girls ..... you're gonna beat Her hands down with the amount of cards you get, so as a gesture of good will in the festive season, let Her count Her cards ..... it'll keep Her happy!

  7. Well it's quite obvious, girls. You go out and buy EVEN MORE cards, preferably from an animal charity, and send them to yourselves.
    Problem solved.

  8. Of course Mom can count those cards. That's the whole point of Christmas, it's all about giving and if she receives some cards in return that's wonderful.

  9. Sammy & I had a little discussion and have come to the following conclusion: there is NO WAY she will ever catch up with you, so give her this little joy.

  10. Nope we say as you cleverly pointed out mom really sent them to herself. However we send mom a big hug for her kindness. Have a fabulous Friday.

  14. My momma put up the holiday card from the paperboy along with MY cards. What's up with that? MY cards don't come with a return envelope looking for a tip.

  18. I don't think those cards count if they had a reply envelope in it that asked for more money! If it was just a card with no reply envelope -- I say it counts.

  19. The cards count. Fight Her by doing the same thing times 3. Then She's even farther bahind.

  20. Well, why not say yes this time and maybe it will mean SHE will find it in her heart to give you all an extra one of those big meaty bones.

    Have a great weekend.

  22. Plain and simple NO!! Sending cards to herself, even though it was for a good cause, is like sending flowers to herself! Absolutely not acceptable. MOL

  23. What a great way to donate! I'm going to do a post next week about donations too. I guess just ASKING for stuff for Christmas isn't what Webster's do. Hmm...who knew?

  27. Oh, sure. Make her feel a little better abouts how far she is behind on the card count. Plus, I think it's nice she's got such a big heart so throw her a bone. (But not a real bone. You should keep those for yourselves.)

  28. THIS is a Tough one... On the One paw... we want to encourage HER to do those wonderful acts of kindness and to be able to PROUDLY display the acknowledgements for them. BUTT on the OTHER paw.. they really are NOT legitimate Cards from Furends...
Ernie and I tawked it over and we think SHE should get SOME credit for them... How about THIS?????
Let HER have HALF Credit fur Each one !

  33. I guess in the spirit of Christmas, you can allow her to include those cards. You know and I know, she'll never cacch up with your cards.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I suppose you should give them to her since she did do a good thing to receive them. She will never catch up to you girls anyway so this way she doesn't look as pathetic as my peeps who only have 1/2 a card that is theirs! BOL!!

  35. Technically, she paid for those cards via her donations sooo... it's questionable. I mean, it's like the card you get from the dentist or trash guy or something. But you could be gracious and let her have them count? Maybe?
