SHE was telling a friend the other day about what a mess we make of the carpet as if HER clodhoppers don't bring in dirt.

And that SHE's thinking of putting down some other floor covering; but SHE thinks tiles might be too cold and wood might get scratched and so on and so on........

Would you believe that this 'friend' said, "You could always keep the dogs OUTSIDE!!!

  1. You just need to realign HER mentals, so she understands that the well-being of the dogs is more important that the state of the carpet (or whatever other floor covering).
We have tiles in the kitchen. SO cold in winter. I am encouraging Gail to save up for underfloor heating.

  4. Tiles aren't as cold as people think.
My uncle Fergus lives in a house that ONLY has tiles.
He LOVES it, nice and cooling for a scottie in an Australian summer.

  5. Does that friend not know that a house without a dog is not a home - and that means INSIDE the house :-). Tiles are OK actually - not too cold or too hot and easier to clean so my peeps say - woofs and licks from Magic xx

  7. Obviously HER furend needs HELP. She is no doubt one of those Stiff Brittle Dry Peeps. You should loosen her up a bit. PEE on that Woman.

Hope SHE decides to get a nice soft carpet for part of the house and cool floors in another - covers all possibilities:)

  15. We never heard of such a thing! That person should be locked out all day and night and see if she likes it. We have some carpet and some tile. Mom doesn't understand why when we feel sick we head for the carpet. It's soft and comforting and it's so amusing to hear her grumble as she scrubs it.

  16. Tell her outside is for reading peemail, chasing sunbeams, swimming, digging to China, silly! We have cold, hard tile floors covered with thick carpet or rugs. When it's hot, the tile cools me down.

  21. I wouldn't call that person a furiend - a friend maybe - but not a furiend.

Hey....We've got wooden floors and they're not scratched up. But the nice thing is, if they do get scratched, you can just refinish them from time to time. And don't forget the little rugs you can throw around for the girls.

    There. Problem solved.

  26. Ruh Roh....need to get your mom some new friends..haha!

We have one room in the house, that has an acid washed concrete floor and it is the best! It's a bit cold, but it is bullet proof, dog proof, and work boot proof (and pretty). Mom wants to do the whole main floor in the same. Figure we can get a few area rugs, so it's not so cold.

  28. Are you ABSOLUTELY sure she was a friend and not an imposter? Like, did this lady smell 'OK, you pass' enough?

    OUTSIDE indeed!!

Here we come by after so long and we almost find you guys out there with..what..the plants?

And about the carpet...we thought it was there so we could dry ourselves better. Looks like we were mistaken. Or is it just the humans who are all confused?
    Oh Please...let's not confuse ourselves.
Guys! just make sure you have a lovely weekend ahead...
