Walks

We have lots of places to go for walks.  Today, we're walking along the cycle track near the river.  Bella and I checked out the picnic area to see if there were any snacks.....there were.
Then Bella took off to chase some crows that were way across the paddock.  She didn't catch any.  One swooped her when she ran back to us.
We alway find interesting smells.  Sometimes we can hardly walk because we are too busy sniffing.
I love getting in the high grass.  BUT I wasn't allowed.  It's warming up and that means snakes!  If you see a snake here, you can safely bet it's poisonous.
Actually, it was quite a long walk, and it is getting hotter.  So we rested in the shade and looked across the river to OUR beach.
Not much beach now that the river is still up.  When we got home all three of us went to sleep.

  12. What a nice walk you had! But yes, I would stay far, far away from those snake things. Even if they don't bite you, they stick your tongue out at you and that's just rude!

  14. That sure looks like a great place to walk. Watch out for those snakes though. We have them around here and try to go the other way if we see one. Lots of love, Holly and mom

  15. Howdy! We're American rescue dogs who just found your website. We think Daisy IS very courageous, but so are all those cows who ambled over to meet a mighty, bravehearted Scottie! If you followed the cows around the field, maybe they'd scare all the poisonous snakes away before the snakes could get to ground-level Scotties? And you know crows are some of the cleverest birds there are; bet they knew Bella is a bird killer and they were warning her off. Are they nesting Downunder now? Abby [boxer-beagle mix] loves to jump in the air trying to catch flying birds; she's actually caught a couple of careless birds on the wing, although mama disapproves mightily.
