She did it again....

Yep, this morning Bella murdered another baby bird.  Our garden is fast becoming an avian cemetery!  I've  told her that she's acting like a cat--but she doesn't care!
On a lighter note, the callistemons have started to bloom all up and down the street, in lots of different colours.  These two are in our garden.

Bet you can guess why their more common name is a Bottlebrush.

  1. Wow!! That Bella is a quick one - we still are wondering if these little birdies become snackies?

  7. Now that she knows she has the skill.....you are just going to have to get faster birds!
Love your bottlebrush bushes. We have tried to grow them so many times, but they always freeze in the winter. We did not know they came in pink too! Must buy a GREENHOUSE :)

  14. Those flowers are beauitiful!! We know it's not good to get those baby birds but it just happens around here too. Little ones and big ones in a blink of an eye. I wish they wouldn't build nests in the pine tree here. Lots of love, Debbie and Holly

  16. I'm sorry about the bird, really. I chase them, but there's never any danger of my catching them. I think that you have some irresponsible bird Moms in your yard. One falling out - OK, it happens. But two in such short a time? Someone is not building her nest to code is all I can say.

    lotsa licks, Lola
