The new puppy was coming to the river this morning.
We'd been hearing about him for weeks, he was taken from his dog family at 5 weeks...
(SHE's shuddering)
...we had to wait for all his needles to take effect, before he could be introduced to us.
I, Roxy, woke up with a Very Sore Paw.
Here's evidence, though it was taken later in the day.
I wasn't allowed to go.
SHE says it was from chasing Coco like a maniac the day before.
Bella stayed home with me, because she just likes to
stand in the river and get wet and muddy.
Only Dui went and he's more of a maniac than I am!
Well, here he is.
His name is Tiger. He is Pi's new brother.
He's a Kelpie-Koolie cross.
(Both being sheep dogs.)
Dui may have been allowed to go, but he
became too excited.

Dui may have been allowed to go, but he
became too excited.
And had to go on the dreaded chain for awhile.
Unfortunately, My wonky foot is still sore and I'm still limping, so it may be another week
before Bella and I get to meet him.
Hope your weekend is better than mine....sigh.
Oh wow, Tiger is quite spectacular.
ReplyDeleteBut Roxy, I so sympathise with your sore paw, and do hope it gets better soon.
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
Roxy sweetheart..It is I, Madi's mom, here to offer you sympathy and mom kisses. You see I can get a wonky ankle sometimes for no reason too. It all started years ago when I was walking sideways by the guest bed (close to the wall) to make it up. I was so glad there was a wall there cause otherwise I would have fallen. The doc told me there is a long tendon running down side of the leg to the angle kinda like a rubber band it got out of place. Anyway I understand and send you hugs. My hubby keeps telling me making the bed up is bad for your health...maybe he has a point.
ReplyDeleteLove and kisses

Tiger is one handsome pup but what a bummer that you and Bella had to stay at home, Roxy. I hope your sore paw feels better soon!
ReplyDeleteTaken from his family at only five weeks old? Big mistake, dogs learn a lot from their mom especially after 5 weeks. We birds never learn so it's OK for us.
ReplyDeleteSo sad that he was taken so young. But he sure is a cutie pie with very striking markings.
ReplyDeleteTiger is a handsome looking fellow. The more we see Kelpies the more we think Hailey has some kelpie in her! We shudder at the pup being taken at 5 weeks, Hailey was taken at 3 . . . . sigh!
ReplyDeleteRoxy, we hope your paw feels better soon.
Oh Tiger is a handsome fella! Too bad he could not spend more time with his doggie mom. We hope everyone's parts get better fast!
ReplyDeleteHappy Earth Day!
Your Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
He's a cute little guy! We hope your paw gets better!

ReplyDeleteTiger looks like a very handsome boy :) Milo & Jet
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable pup! That must be one high energy guy! Sort of a border collie on steroids!
ReplyDeleteWhat a speckled sweet face. Pray Roxie is better and limping has stopped. Bella my little sponge so sad you had to stay an keep Roxie company. I am sure the river is higher without you soaking up the water.
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a friend
Sweet William The Scot
We too were shuddering - five weeks?! - what were they thinking? Here's hoping all goes well. Tiger and Pi...as in "The Life of Pi"? That'd be the tiger reference?
ReplyDeleteThat was nice of Bella to be "volunteered" to stay home with you - I hope that paw is feeling better, maybe your special treat today helped?
