We were up EARLY for the morning walk.
There were lots of people out walking
just at daybreak, and cyclists.
We got in our hour walk....
Then home, so SHE could have coffee.
We were ready when the first of the little bipeds
started walking by.
It was the first day of school!
We have a bus stop across the street,
five schools--primary and secondary--, plus
two preschools and a long day care centre
within a half mile radius of our house.
So we were busy!
Barking at everyone and telling them to have a great
year.....and stay away from our yard.
Then this afternoon, we sat in our air-conditioned
house and watched them stagger back home
in their wrinkled, slightly soiled, room-to-grow
uniforms and leather oxfords
in the 39°C/102+°F heat.
We barked in comfort!
And let them know it was hotter elsewhere....
It should only get down to 26°C/78+°F tonight.
So we'll be up early, and ready to bark when the kids come.
Supposed to be 40°C tomorrow, and 41°C on Wednesday.
Then cooler for a few days.
Oh, the best part is the kids usually take packed
lunches to school, which they eat ON the way,
dropping bits that we find early in the morning.
We love the school year.
2nd pic, is that Bella meditating? BOL.. What a busy and tiring day, wow! Recharge well for the following days guys.
