Big Wind!

We had a big wind storm the other night.  Bella was so frightened she tried to jump into HER bubble bath!
Bella, who doesn't mind fireworks or thunder, hates wind.

We only had sticks and leaves blown around our garden.
But when we got to the river in the morning, there were tree branches down.
These pictures are from this morning....SHE forgot the camera yesterday.

We were first there, and SHE removed the more manageable  branches from the track.
 We had to inspect them.
The track goes in a loop.  This is at the fork in the track.
Once we got past these branches, the track was clear until we got back to this point.

Thanks for the POTP for our friends in the Adelaide Hills.  They have posted about their experience.  You can read it here.

  3. Big old gum trees do love to snap their branches - especially the big old river red gums which Mom remembers being called widow makers.

  9. It is most annoying when branches block one's favourite path, is it not?

  10. Mackey is afraid of wind too. She's afraid of any big noise. We would have helped move those branches, we're good at that.
