We just received Daisy's biopsy result. It is cancer--a growth on the front of her jaw that is growing into the bone.
The good news is that it should not affect other organs.
However, it will eventually become painful:
6 months to a year, the report estimates.
6 months to a year, the report estimates.
There are the options of extremely invasive operations with chemo......
but, we are choosing quality of life...
So Daisy, will just be Daisy and enjoy the rest of her life.
Oh no. We will be keeping all our paws crossed for the daisy....time for that fighting Scottie spirit to come out and prove how amazing you are. We will pray it is very slow growing and that she won't be in pain.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to learn the diagnosis is the one you probably feared. Dear Daisy, we wish you stay comfortable and happy with your loving family for as long as possible.
ReplyDeleteGail wishes her arms were long enough to reach out and hug you, but Bertie thinks that would be plain scary.
Love and cuddles,
Gail and Bertie.
We are so sad to hear this news Daisy. We too pray it is very slow growing and doesn't become painful. Our love and hugs are with you. Now you go and do all the things you have wanted to do, chase those Squirrels, cats and birds :) Loads of love

Don't even second guess yourself. Chemo and/or radiation is a lousy thing to put a living thing through. He says that He would lean to the option you took for Himself if He were in the situation. I'm 11½ and have avoided cancer, so far (knock on plastic). The best thing is that Daisy doesn't know that she's on limited time so she can enjoy her remaining time.
ReplyDeleteMom said she said everything in an email she sent earlier. But me and Stanley wanted to tell you something that she did not say. We doggies do not worry about the length of our life, only the quality of each moment. So we think you made the right decision for Daisy too. And we hope you all have a great day for all your days!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
We're so sorry to hear this news, but we're sure Daisy will live as happy a life as possible.
ReplyDeleteMy heart breaks for all of you. I know you are doing the best thing for Daisy and that is all any one can do. Daisy will have a very happy life as long as she has. Scotties are very strong. We never knew our Scottie was even in pain when we lost him. They just keep going.
ReplyDeleteLove and Hugs to Daisy and her family and peep.
