All that work....

You know how we like to stand watch.
To protect our house from cats, strange dogs, birds...postmen...delivery men...and the milko....strange people....and...well you get the idea.

We made this great surveillance post.  Got rid of all the grass and weeds, and dug a couple of nice resting holes.
And when it rained recently, it became a lovely water feature for our garden.
 BUT
Did SHE appreciate all our hard work?
Our protection?
NO!!
She mulched it!!!
Ingrate!

  3. Hey Ladies!
Wow, I agree with Blueberry, that mulch has got to go! Those mud puddles were perfect until that. A bunch of concentrated digging action will move all of that outa your spot.

  33. Time to get busy on that mulch...no busines for it in your command post...we liked the water feature much better

  34. Now gurls, there is two ways to look at this:
1: SHES gone off her rocker, and it's time to call the men in the white coats to take her to a 'safe place' to spend the rest of the winter.
2: Mulch is kinda cozy. I likes to roll in it, and it conforms to you much better than the dirt. It also keeps ya warm while on guard duty.
Now, if you don't like the mulch after tryin' it out, I say bring it inside on your furs...that'll teach her!! BOL

    Ruby ♥

  37. WTH is SHE thinking?? Mulch is soooo easy to dig so it'll be no worries for you girls to get your comfy spots back again. Pretend to chew on some and choke a little and SHE will be out there quick as a flash and might move the lot herself!! hehehe. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

  42. Well what nerve! SHE even put up a little border thingy, I see. Does SHE think that will keep you from laying in that nice soft mulch that you undoubtedly have to dig through to makee a nice nest to guard house???
