Downhill weekend

Our weekend started out with such promise.....Bella's Gotcha Day.  Treats and walks...

Then Saturday morning, the river, our friends....bath....treats.

But Sunday, after our early morning walk, SHE abandoned us!  SHE went to the Sheepdog Trials and we WEREN'T ALLOWED to go!

I mean we could have shown those dogs and sheep a thing or two.  Look how boring this is!
 And how pathetic is this?
He's just walking those sheep around.
 Or staring at them....
Look!  They're just on a Sunday stroll...
And a SLOW stroll at that!
 What's the point in that??!!!
He's just walking them up to the pen.
Tellin' them to get in.....and they just stand there.
 Finally, they're in!
Talk about boring.  Bella, Roxy and I would have shown those sheep who's boss.  We would have had them running all around that paddock.  They wouldn't have known WHAT hit them!

But we weren't ALLOWED!  Sheesh!!

And as if being abandoned for most of the day wasn't enough.....
look what went passed our house this afternoon.

The ICE CREAM VAN!  And we didn't get ANY!

Our weekend just went downhill.
Of course, we did get bones.
Maybe next week will be better.

  7. And to top it off, She didn't win any prizes at the sheepdog competition. If She did, we'd be hearing about it.

  8. OMD Girrrrrls that was NOT a good way to end your wonderful weekend at all. The NERVE (and FOOLISHNESS) of THEM not to allow you to go to the Sheeps TRIALS. I am SURE you would have found them all NOT GUILTY. AND then NOT to have had any I Scream. SHAMEFUL just SHAMEFUL. I think you should come HERE to live on my hill with Ernie and Me.

  9. My granddaughter-dog, Bonnie, got to try working sheep. At first, she was just like you girls -- wanting to run them around the pen. But then, she kinda got the hang of finessing them around. The trainer said she thought Bonnie had potential as a herder. So, even though you didn't get sheep, at least you got bones!

  10. Both Bella and Roxy would have made the show more interesting by showing them how to herd them sheeps! SHE should take you all next time... just saying.

and ice-cream van and NO ice-cream... how is that even possible... but at least you all got bones rite? i had to wait for my cow to come back... she was out the whole entire day and i was starved and lonely and lonely. I think you girls have it better... at least there's bones.

  16. The nerve.... You girls would have done them proud with those sheep! It's nice to see your ice cream vans look like the ones here in California. Where I grew up in New Jersey, they look like trucks, I find the van thing a bit weird.
