We have a confession.....

You know last Saturday when I went to the 'The Dish'?  Well, I went to meet Roxy.
One of the dogs we featured  in our 'Rescue Me' post.
We'd been looking for another dog to join the pack for ages...a miniature Bull Terrier. BUT we were aware of dogs who need homes.  Every time we looked at pups, Roxy was there looking back at us. We'd been looking at her for a few months and we decided to offer her a home.

We started negotiations about two weeks ago--before Kendra became unwell.
We drove for 2 hours south and Roxy and her Foster Mum drove 2 hours north and we met  in a park.
Roxy came home with us for a two week trial.
Mayzie , Lily and Benny sort of worked it out in our Wordless Wednesday post. Roxy was already here before our 'Rescue Me' post.  I suppose we kind of cheated; but her sister Roo is still available.....

Kendra on a slow walk in the front garden.
Kendra Update:  This morning Kendra came to the front gate ready for the early morning walk.  She can't go on our long, fast walks, so she was allowed to walk in the front garden where she immediately found the skeletal remains of a bird that SHE'd forgotten about and nearly had an extra snack!

  11. Peeps forget that there are all kinds of dogs available for rescue. I know from personal experience since I am a rescue. He wanted a Westie, Scottie or Cairn and gender, age and other stuff was immaterial-the only important thing was that the animal needed a terrier home. Terriers belong with terrier peeps. I was the first one He saw and that was 9 years ago.

  16. So glad to see Kendra back on her feet. Sometimes it's a "ruff" road we all walk and it's best we take it slowly. Tell Roxy welcome from a fellow Scotsman. Hope all will be warm sunshine and cool shade for the four of you!

  17. Ohmidogness! Ohmidogness! Ohmidogness! I LUVS that Roxy came home to lives with you! Wowee! Yay for Roxy! Gosh, she just landed in the lap of luxury and I'm pretty sure that her big sisters are gonna show her the ropes AND keep her in line. Heehee! Thank you, thank you for adopting her.

And Kendra, I'm glad you're going on your slow walkies. My mom always says "slow and steady wins the race." Of course, I don't listen to her but that's what she always says.
