Winter walks

We're having scottish weather at the moment--okay Bertie, summer scottish weather--overcast, grey, windy and cold(ish) about 50 F.  Naturally we love it, but SHE has been harder to get out of the house in the mornings.  It has taken all three of us badgering encouraging HER to move more quickly.  That means our walks have been later in the morning.
No one was around the carpark when we got there just before 10 am this morning, so Bella and I got to run free!
Kendra always has to stay on the lead.
Bella lost her 'free' privilege halfway through the walk after chasing a jogger, a cyclist, annoying an aged Beagle and eating something disgusting.

Bella, in front and Daisy return from chasing the cyclist.  Actually, Daisy ran after Bella probably to keep her from having fun.
Both yesterday and today, we saw 'roos in the paddocks....it was way past their bedtimes.

We think the overcast conditions mess up their clocks.
The 'roos know they're safe because of the fence--but they were very interested in us.

  1. We're always amazed to see you running leash-free. We can barely be trusted to be in our fenced back yard without leashes. :)

Loved the picture of the kangaroos! We would love to chase them.

  3. Hasn't it been cold!! Hy mum hates being hot, but even she has been grumbling about the low temperatures. At least you girls still manage to get HER out for your walkies.

  4. Tell your mom to put on more sweaters and go! Terriers need to see stuff. So, Roos are nocturnal? We learned something new today!

  5. OH Bella never chase a jogger or a cyclist. That could get you grounded.

  6. Bella you were being quite the little devil giving those joggers a run for their money.

  8. Keep it up Bella, a dog doesn't get anywhere if not prepared to push the boundaries. Glad you all enjoyed your 'Scottish' morning (+ kangaroos!)

  9. We'd chase anything/one if we weren't on lead - you're lucky you get to go off-lead.

  11. 'Roos! We only see 'roos at our Zoo. It is fun to be reminded just how far away you live from Darby and Pumpkin.

  12. How fun to get to see roos - we know we would try to chase them. 50 F sounds delightful to us right about now. We are likely to hit triple digits here today:( Makes it very easy for us to decide to snooze the day away in our a/c coolness.

We do get very jealous that you (or at least some of you) get to go offleash, that never happens for us.

  21. HELLO!!!! I've somehow missed your posts this past week (I've got to pay better attention) and am glad Bella really enjoyed freedom on her walk while she could! :-)) Our little pup is learning to enjoy walks too and finding all kids of little things--Little at least for now, I'm sure they'll be big things soon enough!!

  22. The roos look super curious.. hehhehehee.. but don't get too close.. i heard that they are pretty good boxers :D

Bella... life sure would be boring without you around. The disgusting thing to eat is something i do each day in the garden when SHE is not looking :D

  23. Oh oh, now only one of you can go free. Our Tsar and Bailey can't be trusted off leash ever and Sky and Lola aren't complete trustworthy. The rest of us are very good about coming when Mom calls.

  24. How much fun you all always have there! Seeing Roos!! 50 degrees sounds perfect! Holly always has to stay on the leash....she tries to run after cars which is a very bad thing!! Lots of love, Debbie & Holly
