Unfair!

Daisy
This morning we went for a walk by the river.  It has been hot--over 100 for a few days--so we go for a very long walk early in the morning.  This morning when we got to the picnic area, I found a whole slice of bread.  Someone must have left it for the birds.  Well, I found it.  It was mine!  AND SHE pulled it right out of my mouth.  Just grabbed it and ripped it right out!  I was so surprised I didn't even chomp down and save a bit of crust.  So I got nothin'.  Then SHE threw it away!  How unfair is that?!!!
(And she can stop calling me Kegs--short for keg on legs. It's mostly fur.)

  1. Oh boy! That's cruel.. cruelllll of HER!! My hooman girl did the same thing.. here i was having this whole piece of chicken (filled with ants) that the cats left out for me... and she just ask me to drop it.. and threw it away. Can you believe that.. cruel isn't it? Same.. we have cruel hoomans. Do you think we can report them to the SPCA?

  4. Mom can pull that trick on most of us, but Ruairi must have youth and cuteness on his side - if he finds something, it's gone!

PS - and we're not too crazy about that nickname either. Gives our Mom ideas.

  7. Lemme tell you girl, the same thing happens to me. But sometimes I'm really quick draw McGraw and I snatch up something before She sees. Like the other day. Who knows what THAT was. I didn't feel right for a while. Didn't even eat my dinner. So let this be a lesson. She's only trying to keep your stomach quiet.

  14. We are so sorry Daisy. My mom probably would do the same if she could catch me when I grab something. She's not too quick. I really wish she had got to me when I grabbed the little frog that gagged me...yuk...it stung me. How was I to know! Lots of love, Holly

  15. I know how that goes, Daisy! I have Mom and Jaxson trying to steal whatever goodies I find--I can't win!
'Kegs.' :) I get called Pumpkin Butt or Bratchild. Humans are pretty bad about name-calling, eh?

  16. Ohmidogness, stuff like that happens to me and Brudder Ranger all the time. Like one day on our walk, Brudder Ranger found a whole leg bone from a deer! It was bigger than him but he picked it up and was gonna take it home to chew on later. But can you believe it? My dad made him leave it there! How ker-azy is THAT?

Sometimes humans can be Most Unfair.

  23. oh daisy it does seem mean (and the nickname business needs to stop lol) but everyone is right about your mom looking out for your tummy....... I know! The last time I snatched something I wasn't supposed to eat I had an upset tummy for TWO WHOLE DAYS! Mom was very worried about me but the vet told her that I would be fine (and I was after a couple days) I still like to snitch the occasional forbidden treat (mom does not approve) but I guess if you are bound and determined like I am, you just need to be quicker next time
