Our Hill

This our hill down by the river.  We love to run up and down that hill.
Bella
Oh, that's not a spaceship on the top.  It is the club house of the local Lawn Bowls Club.  Well, the last few times we've gone to OUR hill for a run, there have been humans using it.  They try to do zoomies up and down.  But they are sooooo slow.  No way would it pass for zoomies.
When they get to the bottom, they lie down and try to sit up again.  Sometimes it takes them about 87 times to actually get back up.  Then they do it all over again!
We'd love to demonstrate proper zoomies--but we aren't allowed to run free.  Guess they'll never get the hang of it.  Believe me, they are pathetic!

It's Friday, and time for friends.  We've met a few more dogs in Blogville and thought we'd let you know about them.  We're sure they'd love a visit.
Firstly, is Spur , he's a Beauceron.  We'd never heard of those, but pop over and learn more.
Then there's Rubie the Schnauzer who lives here in Australia.  And finally is a little guy named Bowie.  Just click on the link and go make them welcome.
Avagoodweekend!

  1. That's a mighty big hill you girls have. And why oh why are you not allowed to run free. Let's put a complaint to them SPCA dudes. Dogs should be allowed to run free on anything green and hilly.. hehehe

  11. Wow...what a super fun zoomie hill. Poor humans. Can you imagine how hard it would be to have to balance yourself on two legs all the time? No wonder they're so sloooooow.

  14. Hey Daisy!
Wowy, what a great place to run and zoom! That looks like a real challenge to pups with shorter legs, so good for you for taking it on! I'm impressed. Humans don't even come close to doggie agility. Thanks for sharing the pix and the new friends.

  23. Bet if you get there REALLY early, you can run off leash. Who would know? Do people there really bowl on grass? It is like the Italian bocce ball game? An American bowling ball would just sink into the grass and never reach a pin.

Belated Happy Australia Day! And we did know your native swans are black. There's one of those logical syllogism thingies they used to teach in school here about the fallacy of assuming all swans are white just because the only swans you've ever seen are white. Australian swans are the "proof" of the fallacy.

Good to see your neighborhood haunts, including your beach, are returning to normal. The flooding has been completely absent from our news, but we know from experience the clean up and recovery will take many months for those hardest hit.
