bunny

This is our new stuffie. He arrived yesterday. SHE bought him. Just one of those spontaneous things. Bella immediately commandeered him. We thought for play.
This morning he was missing. Knowing that Bella hid Blue Bug, the stuffie she came with several months ago, we mounted a search.
Sure enough, his leg was sticking out of Bella's favourite plant.
He was rescued and brushed off, and was lucky it didn't rain last night.
A short time later, he went missing again. This time he was found under some mulch and the soaker hose. Once again he was cleaned off.....
Only to be found this afternoon under another plant, in another part of the garden.
Bella may look like she's guarding him, but she's planning another burial.
I protected it for by using him as a pillow. But as soon as I let my guard down, he was buried again. This time quite well, if we hadn't noticed some of the mulch disturbed, I think it would still be there. Bella is keeping it close at the moment because the door is closed. We're sure he'll be buried when she can get out.
We don't know what she has against little stuffies...maybe she just likes Edgar Allan Poe.

  2. Now that is interesting. I wonder what she's thinking. Usually the worry is what we'll dig up, rather than what we bury.

  3. Hi Daisy, Kendra and Bella
What a thing. Mum gets you a new toy and Bella just cant wait to bury it.... Is Bella hiding it from you two girls? I used to hide my toys on windowsill in lounge, and still put them there to this day.

    Lovely post

Most interesting. Perhaps you need to put him on a LONG Walking string and tie the end to the door knob. hehehe

  13. Are you sure Bella is hiding him? Maybe Bunny is trying to escape and you just keep catching him before he gets too far. Stuffies can't run very fast, you know. (Thank goodness.)

  14. Perhaps you should implant a ticking clock into the bunny.

  15. I'm still laughing - at least bunny is still in one piece. Duncan and Hamish like to tear their stuffies apart before they bury them.
