 It's 2018!

The celebration noises have ended, we hope.

We're going to bed!

For some reason this didn't post last night.
So we're up and ready for the first river visit of the year!

Happy Christmas, Everyone!

He came....Santa came!

Squeaky Toys and Fish4Dogs Treats!

It has been so difficult to be good.

Yesterday, there was the incident....

SHE put down the bag with presents for our River friends.

And a few of the treats disappeared!

Don't know how that happened.

But anyway, Santa came and the pressure is off now.
We're ready for our Traditional Christmas to begin.

We kick off with a trip to the river to run around

with our friends until we're tired.

Then home for fresh bones and sleep

while SHE goes out for the day.

Yesterday  was 41°C/105°F.

Today, Christmas Day should be only 34°C/93°F

We're always in the air conditioned house, so it doesn't bother us.

Most Australians have Christmas Day near water:

beach  or pool; or house with the best air conditioning.

SHE goes for the latter, where the Christmas feast

will be cold prawns, ham, turkey, etc. and salads

followed by trifle and pavlova.
(Accompanied with Christmas Cracker silly hats and
even sillier jokes.)

Boxing Day will be more of the same...with the leftovers.

And we get to have some of the leftovers.

Eve....Well, the day before the day before Christmas...

When I, Roxy, was allowed to open my package

that had been sitting in the study for WEEKS!

 Bet you know who it was from BEFORE you see the card open!

 Yes!  My ♥♥♥Ernie♥♥♥!!

 Look at all the stuff!

 Toys for ME, caramel corn for HER

because Ernie knows it's important to suck up to Her spoil us all.

SHE even got this gorgeous handmade scottie wind chime,

that SHE loves.

Bella.  Dui is an occasional wader.

What could be simpler.....

Stop by the Information Centre, pose the dogs in front of the

Gift-box decorations around the trees and head to the river.

Oh look, there are barbed wire-looking wreaths.

Sheesh!

School's out for Summer...♪♪♫♫

That means:

SHE doesn't have to drive the two bipeds to school in the mornings.

That means:

SHE doesn't have to keep the car interior spotless!

That means:

We get to come,

 and go

 to our favourite running spots every day!

And play with our friends at the river....

 AND

get down and dirty!

YAY! for the Summer Holidays!
