it's International Star Wars Day!

We're not SciFi fans, but we thought we'd join in.

Otherwise, we've had a Yuckiful day--we made that word up.

Still cold, for us....high of 12°C/53F..windy and that
not-actually-raining-but-you-get-soaked mist.

SHE was feeling guilty about us not getting a walk yesterday, so SHE rugged up in layers of warm clothing, hat and gloves, and took us to the river.

It was very dull-looking day.....

Even the cockatoos in this old tree looked cold.

Didn't seem to bother these black swans.

 Or all these cockatoos picking through the newly ploughed paddock.

 Then Chloe and Jake arrived!
We were afraid we'd be the only ones today.

We raced around and had a great time...

And Bella was especially happy because...

her favourite puddle was back.

COLD(ish) Saturday

Winter seems to have arrived.

Yesterday it was a bit cool (SHE thought) to have outdoor baths after being at the river.

We got to have a warm bath in the big tub.

It rained during the night and we had a huge puddle on the patio. 

It wasn't really raining so we headed towards the river.

With a stop at the Farmers' Market so SHE could buy HER fortnightly treats.

By then, it started raining again.  We went to our friend Millie's 

to take her mum  some stuff from the market.

Then we came home.  We've only been for a car ride today.

We've done lots of snoozing and  got out our little heater.

Hasn't been a great day.

Oh, wait a minute! 

SHE did get us some treats....

Watermelon

Remember the watermelon that was growing in our garden?

 It split slightly, so SHE opened it.

It was sweet, juicy and had about 87 bazillion seeds in it.

We were beggin' for some.

So we each got a small piece.......

which SHE found on the carpet later.

Turns out we don't like watermelon.
