Shopping!

I, Dui, went shopping yesterday!

I wasn't sure I wanted to go in at first.

 So SHE carried me in.

Then I didn't want to move.

 But these cats (who are awaiting adoption) were watching me, 

so I had to be brave.

 Once we got to the dog section.  Things looked up!

This is more like it!

 Look, these pigs' ears are right on MY level.

So I helped myself.

SHE caught me!

But when we got home, we all got pigs' ears!

And there's new leads, baked bones, chicken salami and fish jerky.

Even Bella and Roxy think I did a good job.

Tasty Tuesday

 

This is the freeze-dried, frozen frog SHE took away from me this morning.

 I, Dui, dropped it when we were getting into the car to go to the river.

SHE threw it away.

When we got to the river, I found a slice of bread.

I managed to gulp down half of it

 before SHE grabbed the other half.

BUT

When we went right down to the river,

I found a pizza box that some considerate litterer left there

containing two slices of pizza!

 This time, I managed to scarf the lot!

SCORE!

SHE did chase me around but I was too fast.

Wordless Wednesday

Winter...

We've had a cold week.  There was snow to the east of us.

 We just got frosts and freezing winds

 that were blowing off that snow.

 The cold really only bothers HER,

 and Roxy can only stand it for awhile.

Dui just LOVES the cold

And I, Bella, don't mind it.

But we all love snuggling on the couch after being outside.

 And I, Bella, like to watch telly.

When SHE 'had a break from scotties' (would you believe)

We are Blogville, too.

We're joining Murphy's  and Stanley's  Census of Blogville.

Late, but what the hey....

We've been members of Blogville since 2010.

Since then, Kendra and Daisy have gone to the Bridge.

We're now a family of Bella, Roxy and Macdui.

(and HER)

We live in a crate--okay, not a crate,

 but a small house with a small garden, 

in Dubbo.

We couldn't even find a decent map of where we live on the Internet,

so, we live in a city of about 40,000 in 

central New South Wales in Australia.

We're about 6 hours drive from Sydney.

The upside of living in a small house is SHE doesn't have much to clean and WE get long walks because SHE feels guilty.

We love Blogville and hearing about all the other residents, their adventures and where they live.

An observation...

The feral cats in our 'hood are black and white, or tabby.  

They used to be orange....

Marmalade, the big orange cat, two houses up, moved out

 a couple of years ago.....

Hmmmmmmmmmmm.....

Stormy Weather....

Shoe out in the garden.....

Nandina ripped up...

Plants strewn about...

Dirt scattered about, holes ....

Broken irrigation hose...

A Dui-nado!!!

Stuff....

First of all, see that log behind Dui and me?

 It's got ice and frost all over it.

 As you can tell, frost doesn't bother us. 

 SHE's the one who feels the cold!

(whimp)

Poor Dui!

SHE's always chasing him around to take his treats...

Grasshopper,

lizard,

sticks, bits of plastic,

plants,

dried up bird's wing,

dried up mouse......

So when he saw HER approaching with the camera,

 he grabbed his bone and RAN!

A Surprise...

SHE found a place on the internet, in Australia, that sells deer antlers and ordered some.

Frankie and Ernie sent Roxy two antler pieces, 

that's where we heard about them.

Dui, especially, LOVES them.  So SHE loves them

because he can be distracted from chewing stuff with an antler.

The antler place sent us an e-mail saying  they would have to get some more stock so the order would be late.

BUT when the antlers arrive there would be a surprise included.

 Roo Nibbles!

We give them the paws up! 

We even cooperated for a photo to get some.

WW--Brief Encounter...

Monday night....

The last night of Puppy Preschool.

What kind of photographer doesn't check the subject's messy mouth first?

I performed beautifully on

Recall

Sit

Down

Stay

and walking on the lead.

(SHE says I just need to learn to do it outside Puppy Preschool.)

Jedda

Dui is saying G'day to Jedda.

 Jedda is a little poodle who lives behind us.

She has a BLING collar,

And is always groomed,

And has a big kennel outside,

and a comfy bed in the garage.

And Jedda is always alone.

It makes us sad.

More Frost.

Frost again this morning. 

 Frost makes us run around.

 We had a surprise this morning.  Pi arrived with her nephew Ralph.  He's a Mastiff puppy.

Kelly,  Roxy,  Ralph   and Pi

 Ralph and I had a great time,

 chasing everyone around and wrestling.

Ralph would lay down, so I could attack him.

Pi watching me and Roxy attacking Ralph.

We had a fantastic time.

Thursday Morning...

I found a tiny lizard....about half the size of the grasshopper

 I caught yesterday.

SHE chased me all over the house trying to get it!

So I quickly ate it.

SHE can get her own treats!

Grasshopper..

 Today, I caught a HUGE grasshopper.

I ate it!
