Tasty Tuesday

Afternoon Tea 

 Although it's more like Cappuccino and Puffed Pigs' Ears.

Hurry up!  We know you don't eat pigs' ears.

 Roxy heads off immediately for her hideout.

 Daisy finds a nice grassy spot.

 Bella finds a spot that's easy to defend.

SHE drinks the cappuccino while doing sudoku.

Ah, an enjoyable sunny afternoon.

Not a good start to the week.

First of all, in my defense, I'd like to say one word.

Cat!

Yes everyone, there was a cat sneaking around in our front garden this morning.

I had to remind it, just whose garden it is and to leave!

SHE says I become a maniac when I see a cat, I call it protective.

That is my excuse important reason why one of the vertical blinds fell down, and the chain at the bottom became detached from about four of the blinds.

Collateral damage in the protection of our property.

Just because SHE  attached the blind the wrong way around and had to climb the ladder again to do it properly, was not my fault.

Naturally, I was very thirsty after that incident and had a long drink.  None of us  dogs  minded the trail of water across the kitchen floor.

HER choice to follow me around with the mop.

Then....

When everyone was leaving the river this morning, SHE couldn't find me. I knew where I was.

And if someone hadn't left a perfectly good fish to rot on the beach, I would never have ignored all HER yelling and whistling. 

 I was just savouring my delicious find.

I don't know what HER problem is. 

 Seems like a good start to the week to me!

Two Packages

Yesterday we got two packages!

 Both from the Pet Warehouse.

 YES!!!!

It's a new supply of Fish Jerky....

 Hurry up, open one!

What do you mean we have to open the other package first?

The next package was flat.

 And did not smell as good.

 Oh Nooooooooooo!

It's a replacement blade for the clippers!

Quick!  We NEED some Fish Jerky!

 and besides we've pruned this branch

 from the family tree....(cats).

A Beautiful Weekend

The rain has disappeared for a few days.  And though the mornings have been cold and foggy, the days have been beautiful.

 We went to the river both mornings.

 Then came home to bask in the sun.

 Our grass needs mowing and our wood chips need replacing.

It's still muddy in places.

Somedoggy dug a hole in the grass.

 The bees were busy around the flowering bushes.

Roxy liked watching them.

 Bella and I are still unkempt.

I don't like my photo taken.

 Roxy's toys--that she left outside all week enjoyed the sun.

Monkey's arm needs surgery once it dries...BOL!

We hope every one of you had a good weekend and a Happy Father's Day in the US.

We should have a couple more beautiful days this week.

Remember last week.....

...when SHE said we were unkempt?

Well I, Bella, was supposed to get kempt today.

SHE had out all the torture gear.

 AND me

  Don't like the look of those clippers.

That other stuff doesn't look too good either.

 SHE was all set, I was brushed out and then 
it was clipper time.

But those clippers wouldn't cut any fur!
They're duller than dull.
They wouldn't cut anything...SHE even tried HER arm.

Nothin'.
So I just got  brushed, 
SHE couldn't be bothered scissoring me.
 

I can stay unkempt until the blades are replaced or sharpened!

Apropos of nothing...

Park Day 2.0

We've completed one row of Bingo Card 7.

 Visit a park more than 30 minutes from your house.

This side of the river is more than 30 minutes from our house when we walk.

 

Urban Park:  Victoria Park

Take a walk in a Nature Preserve.

This track that leads out of town is usually full of wildlife like kangaroos and incredible bird life.

 

 Visit your nearest body of water:  The river

Find Flowers:  I, Daisy found these flowers.
