We're Back

 Hi Everyone.  We're back from camping.  Actually, we  only stayed two nights and one day.

Bella doesn't like camping.  When we arrived, she kept trying to jump back in the car.  She had to be carried to her room and I had to share with her.

When SHE came to get us, Bella was so excited it took ages to get her lead back on because she jumped around so much.

Once home, she snuggled on the quilt on the couch and stayed there for a long time looking pitiful.

Oh, remember when SHE got the new couch scottie guarded?  Well it works! And before you point your paws in OUR direction....we don't drink red wine!

Kendra's Beard

 Kendra usually sleeps in strange places and in strange poses, preferring to sleep on her right side. 

So she usually has crumpled, sideways beard.

 Short story today, everyone. 

 SHE worked at school today.  When SHE arrived one of the little boys raced across the playground yelling, "Ms V, Ms V.  Are you going to walk your dogs passed my house this afternoon?

  'Cause I don't want to miss it!'

Picnic in the Bark

 Hey Everybody.  We finally arrived at the Picnic!

Daisy,    Bella ,  Kendra and Flat George

 Firstly, we found a shady spot to lay out our picnic rug and set out some food.  Flat George came by to see us. ....and get a few samples of  Pork Krackles, Twisties and Potato Chips. 

 (We think he'd already been to the Brat & Beer Tent. If you catch our drift.) 

 Then we set out to see all the fun!  The Wally Melon tasting looked great.  We'd NEVER had it before.  It was fantastic and didn't last long.....Kendra even tried to eat the rind.

Yeah.....now what?!  (Are you sure this is right?)

 We weren't sure about the Sack Race......I mean, we couldn't even move!  Oh well, we'll try anything once.

Sarge's Tube Steak Bobbin' was more to our style.  Bella and Kendra got right into it.  Bella had youth on her side and got to eat more.

(Daisy didn't even try...she waited for one to be delivered.)

 Bella found this great bug to add to Oskar's Bug House display.  If you haven't seen it, go have a look.

Okay, so it wasn't a real bug.  It's winter here and bugs are hard to find.  It didn't matter anyway, Bella grabbed it and chewed it up.

We've volunteered to help Bertie with his water experiments

Can't wait for the Night Time Activities!  Hope we can get through the crowd to see it all.

Weekend walk!

 SHE worked four days last week.  Bella entertained herself by digging a hole.  We're not sure if it was because we had fewer walks or she's just copying Frankie or just felt like digging.  Can you see our poor baby turtle?  He's nearly covered.

It could just be Bella being Bella.

Story Time

 There is a scottie in our house who loves to get up in HER lap to look at videos of dogs on the computer.  Sometimes she gets up on the table and tries to find the dogs in the speaker. Everyone knows who we're talking about here, doen't we? To continue our story....

Yesterday morning, she begged to get up to look at the scottie on the 'Scottish Terrier and Dog News' blog.  But this time there was an ulterior motive.  She immediately stuck her nose into HER bowl of porridge (oatmeal) and ate it all up!  SHE had to go to work without any breakfast!

And the moral of this story is.....NEVER trust a scottie around food.

Look What.......

 Showed up at our house this morning......

And it only got up to a high of  9 C  today!  Okay, 48.2 F..  But we think 9 sounds colder......go ahead, you can laugh, but SHE doesn't like the cold--SHE's a wimp.  Remember, we don't have central heating.  Only a couple of little bar heaters.  So getting HER up for our 6 a.m. walk, in the dark, is getting more and more difficult. Then it takes HER ages to rug up in eighty seven a few layers, gloves and beany before we can get started.

 For those of you getting close to, or hitting  the century mark, we hope our frost cools you down a bit.

Saturday Social

 Saturday morning was sunny.  It hadn't rained for about a week, so we headed for the Devil's Hole.

Jake

 Jake and Max saw us arrive and raced out to meet us.

Max

 Max greeted us, but he was more interested in running than sniffing.

 Bella and I like to get into the grass and look for mice.  We didn't find any this week.

 I raced off to the river for a paddle.  Can you see me?

 Then Bella and I had to catch up.

 Max and Jake were ahead of us.  Their Mum drives the car around while they run!

 Kendra loves meeting other dogs, too.  She was even let off the lead for awhile--until she started walking off in another direction.

Then we saw Fred.  He's huge--but gentle.  We played for awhile and did dog things.  Then we walked back to our car.....wet, muddy and happy.

Sometimes there are two more dogs.  We love that place!

Unfortunately, it rained that night, so I think it'll be a few weeks before we go back.

 Yesterday, SHE came home with this box.  SHE said it was for us. 

 Naturally, we were curious and had to check it out.

 Looks strange.

IT'S A NEW VACULA.   RUN AWAY!!!!
