Million Paws Walk 2013

Today was the 2013 Million Paws Walk.  It's an annual fundraiser for the RSPCA.  This year there were 20 venues and all the walks started at 11 am.
We had the largest turnout in 12 years.

I'm here, we can start!

This year was a toss-up between Roxy and me as to who should go--Bella can't cope with crowds.
My good manners won out again.
I met loads of new dogs and some of our friends.
We walked up to Sandy Beach and back.
SHE said I wasted time sniffing and leaving pee-mail...as if!

Some pups were more interested in playing than walking.

When we came back, Roxy's zoomies buddy, Buddy, was there.
Good thing, I came and not Roxy.
They are crazy together.
Buddy looking the picture of a well-behaved dog.
We sat on the hill and watched all the games.
This little pup came over to say hi to me.
Remember the lady who walks her Akitas and sheep?
She was there with one of each.
I had a close encounter with the sheep.

Look!  No fence!!!!!
Even though I couldn't convince the people near us who were eating that I never get fed.....
It was a great day out!
(Don't worry Ernie, Buddy and Roxy are just friends.)

  1. What an awesome walk.
I'm sure there were lots of dogs who had to be on their best behaviour for the day.
A nice way to make lots of furfriends and I hope the RSPCA made lots of money.

  4. Super day. But why couldn't both you AND Roxy go?
Gail is going all mushy (pun intentional) over that husky pup.
    Toodle pip!
    Bertie.
PS I would NEVER be allowed that close to a sheep, even on a lead.

  5. What a cool day! SHE did a good job taking pictures. I hate it when I go to something like this and only remember that I should take pictures for my blog at the last minute. Super cool photo collage. So glad you had a good time. Brave sheep.

  14. Of course you should have gone instead of Roxy. You're older and should get more privileges. Roxy should take your baths for you.

  29. Sheep? You met a sheep up close and in person? I must have missed the part earlier about how the lady walks her sheep. That's just not something you see in our neck of the woods!!

  30. SHE is lucky to have a few companions to chose from! Just like at our house, some do better with crowds of people and dogs. Sure looks like a great time and for a very worthwhile cause. So, are you and the sheep friends now?!
