A Visitor

Look who visited us today.

He's an Eastern Rosella.
They are fairly common around here; but SHE's never been able to get a good photo of one before.

He's right outside our window
enjoying the Wild Bird Seed Block.

SHE got all excited because we usually get little greyish birds.
He's our first Rosella.

  4. Isn't he just gorgeous ....mom had a special license to breed and release birds when she lived back home. Rosellas were amongst her favorites...and Burke parrots...she always loved the unusual sound their wings made when they flew. That was always mom motto "if you feed them....they will come". We see your mom has learnt it too:)

We both think it is PRETTY butt ERNIE wants me to say it isn't as pretty as ROXY.
We think you should give it a NAME.

  19. That is a really beautiful bird! We have the usual (for us!) robins, blue jays and doves. Not anything even close to that pretty.
