Happy Halloween

Roxy is back to.....well....Roxy.  Madly running around
and jumping!
Whatever was sore has healed.  Thanks for all the POTP.

Bella and Dui have been having daily torture sessions to get the mats and dreadlocks out of their fur.
Bella has been drastically clipped.
The daily runs at the river in all the dust and burrs ignored too long, made the fur impossible to brush out.

Why the sudden interest in well-groomed dogs, you ask?
We are going to 'camp' for most of November and SHE
wants the directors to think SHE's a responsible scotty peep.

We won't be around to comment on blogs, so if you don't hear from us, we're not just ignoring you.

Happy Halloween!

Here are a few FB finds that we like:

First date...
 Look at this one carefully...

Roxy

Roxy has a sore something.
It happened last night.
So our walk this morning was done at a snail's pace.

She needed help getting into the car and out.
We suspect the back foot.
So we're just relaxing indoors for the rest of the day
in hopes resting it, will make it better.
(Roxy usually races around like a maniac and had
soft tissue, muscular soreness before.  It has always just healed with rest--until the next time she runs around like a maniac.)
Have a great weekend.

Mischief Monday......and Tuesday

First of all, look at  THIS!

In OUR front yard,  just outside our surveillance window!
And it didn't move when we told it to....

THEN on Monday, there was more mischief.
(Although, it wasn't mischief in our view.)
On our run , Roxy thought she saw something and went charging after it (ignoring all calls).  Naturally, Dui followed.
We did come back...eventually...when we didn't find anything.
SHE was so angry, we were put on leads and had to WALK
sedately next to HER.
We did not get our 'good dog' treats and SHE ignored us for the rest of the day.

This morning
Roxy started to run off again this morning.  She did come
back quickly, but had to be put on the lead.
Dui ran off a little further up the track and had to have the lead, too.
 THEN
this happened!

Right in front of us and we could do NOTHING!
Except bark.
That 'roo was lucky we were restrained....

Dry Tuesday...

Another dust storm.
(We live under that cloud to the left.)

The good news is there is so much dust around, SHE doesn't worry about dog baths; SHE just vacuums several times a day.

Signs of Spring....

Tonight the clocks will 'spring' forward.
The temperatures are warmer.
Despite the drought, our trees and bushes are blossoming.

We like going out in the garden early in the morning.
Of course, there are more flies.
And the woollens have been washed and ready to pack away....
or in HER suitcase for a visit to Virginia in November.

Once again, the 'Madi Hug Scarf' made by Madi's Mom
sent to us when Daisy died five years ago,

has been washed and is ready for action next June
when it is winter  again.
Sure signs that Spring is here!

Cats....

As you know we have problems with CATS.
We work hard alerting the area when the
cats are on the move.
As it is getting warmer, they tend to stay in the
storm drains and move to the 'free' bar across the street.
That is, when Ghost Kitty isn't watching.

However, we admit that sometimes they are amusing.
