I'm baaaack......

.....Nearly!

This morning, I Roxy, was up early,
jumping excitedly and shaking my stuffies.
But we didn't go for a walk!

A bit later in the morning, we were loaded in
the car and went to HER friends' house.
I even leaped out of the car.

Dui tried to to get me to run, but I didn't feel
like playing wildly.
So he raced around like a maniac by himself, while
I explored.
We stayed for about an hour and it starting to heat up.....it's 39°C/102.2°C at the moment.

I've been up most of the day,
barking at the cats, Milko, rubbish truck and kids.
I'm eating again, too.
This afternoon, SHE found I'd jumped up on the big bed.

One of my back legs is a bit wobbly, so it'll be rest again tomorrow
so we can go to the river Saturday morning!

Thanks for all the POTP and healing vibes.

My Special Walk!

Even though Roxy is feeling better, walking around and pretending to be healed,  SHE knows it's an act.
Bella and I have been having shorter early morning walks, but I,
the Duiman need more exercise.
I got to go visiting with HER yesterday and had a huge yard
 to explore.
Then today, I got a special walk about 9 a.m.
We went to the Duck pond.

We met two nice dogs, and I was very well-behaved.
SHE didn't even have any treats.
And SHE didn't take a photo.
There were two swans
and loads of ducks that followed us around the pond.
We had no treats for them either.
Then we continued along the Golf Course...
So many trees, I was nearly dehydrated.
There was time for some fence line zoomies, before we had
 to head home.
If you look closely you can see two Jack Russells.

I, for one, am enjoying Roxy's enforced Rest!

Poor Me....

This has been me for the past two days.

Big bed, couch.....wherever SHE puts me.
I was unusually quiet at the river on Sunday
morning, and all of Sunday.
If SHE touched me I yelped.
So Monday morning, no walk--I didn't even complain.
Then to the dreaded Vets.
I walked in well and went straight to sit on the scale.

Then that Vet prodded me, poked me, massaged me,
took my temperature, listened to my insides
AND I GAVE NOTHING AWAY!
No reaction.
So home we came (HER wallet $66 lighter.)
It's been the bed or couch ever since except when SHE makes me get up to go outside.

This morning I was much better and went with others for a walk.
I was lookin' good for about 3 houses, then my back legs
got wobbly, so SHE brought me home and took the others.
(Don't worry, I moaned mournfully, and barked)
So they only went around the block.
(SHE didn't want to alienate the neighbours.)

We're still in the 'wait and see' period, but rest seems to be helping,
and I'm soaking up the cuddles.
Thanks to everyone who has inquired about my Vets visit,
we're sure I'll be ready to race around (again) on the weekend.

21st February......

It has been two years since Daisy went to the Bridge.
A day that always makes HER sad.
But with the sadness comes the warmth of having the
support of Blogville.

So many comments, emails and cards, as well as gifts.

Daisy's happy face beams constantly from the portrait Bree
(Reilly's and Denny's mum) so beautifully painted.

As well, the sketch that came with it!

So as SHE remembers the passing of HER girl, SHE remembers everyone who helped ease HER heart.

Valentine's Day Present!

My ♥♥♥Ernie♥♥♥ sent ME Roxy, a special Valentine's parcel!
Dui, get away.....It's for ME!
See the cute sock monkey card?

While I was admiring the card, Dui pulled out the monkey stuffie.

Ernie wrote a special message on the inside and put ♥s on it,
just for me.

He sent me--well, HER really--a supply of poo bags.
And reminded HER to check her pockets when doing the laundry.

(He has such a great sense of humour!)

The Monkey is MINE, let go of its ear, Dui!

While I was hiding the Monkey stuffie, Dui was going through all the MY great stuff....
a toy cat,
a toy bone,
poo bags
and BACON People Crackers!

And there was a box of little hearts with words on them.
SHE took those...sheesh!

Ernie, I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you, and I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ all the great presents you sent me!

Hmmmmm....where can I hide this.

I'd send you a HUGE kiss, but I have to keep this Monkey away from Dui!
THANK YOU!
(Can't wait for the big parade!)

Thoughtful Thursday...

Look at this.

Yep, it clearly states 'Chicken with Duck and Garden Vegetables.'

There is definitely something  wrong here.

We don't see any chicken or duck or garden vegetables.

Good thing we like it.

Eyesore Saturday....

Just look what happened to me this morning!

Pi started a fight over some kibble
at snack time.

Well, I don't start fights usually but I don't back away when attacked! I'm not part Bull Terrier for nothing.

Look at my sore eye...

Pi tried to bite my eye out!
It started swelling a bit during the day.

SHE marched right into the fight and started yelling at us.

So we stopped--we weren't going to take HER on!
Then I got in trouble because my bull terrier side was
taking over.
And Auntie Sue didn't even yell at Pi!
(But when everyone saw how seriously severely
well....the scratches on my face, I got some sympathy.)
And a beef tendon when we got home.
Pi better leave me alone tomorrow....

Look at this.....

Useless soup....

Brownish squiggle is mint sauce we didn't have fresh mint.
 Every other blog shows pups
taste-testing delicious  foods,
licking out pots and bowls...

HER garden has produced lots of cucumbers,
so SHE has been making  COLD cucumber soup,
frequently.

Look at these ingredients.
What even appeals to us....?

 Maybe the stale bread.
SHEESH!
Why can't SHE make stuff with meat or bacon
or cheese or pasta?

Monday Mischief

Guess who surprised everyone by jumping off the truck,
over the side
nearly a 4-foot leap, to get a cyclist?

Me, the Duiman!!!!!
And guess who chased that cyclist way down the track
(while SHE struggled to hold Dui and Roxy)

That would be...
Me!  Bella!
