Want to know what we're looking at?
See that red circle in the centre top of the picture?
It's a baby bird.

It came right up to the screen door and was just sitting there.  Roxy nosed the screen and it hopped outside.  You missed that bit because SHE couldn't get the camera functioning in time.

It hopped into the garden under OUR favourite bush!  It's a bit hard to see.
We were not allowed out all afternoon because SHE hoped it would hop away.

It did.

Right back into our back room.  I, Daisy, cornered it and boy did it squawk.  SHE made me get away.
I was just looking at it.  I'm not a baby bird killer like Bella!

It hopped out the side door into the carport when SHE tried
 to catch it.

SHE's hoping it doesn't hop into the side garden because that's part of the back yard.

Only time will tell.....  Stay tuned.....will Bella get her first birdie of the season?

  1. Poor little birdie, hope he stays safe.
Annie brought a little bird into the house once and took it upstairs. She was actually playing with it but didn't harm it. We managed to catch it and released it outside.

  6. Hope the baby bird is OK. They are so helpless when they're tiny and don't understand about the big bad world :-( Maybe its mum and dad will come and help it find its way back to safety. Have a good weekend - woofs and licks from Magic xx

  11. Bella may not like it if birdie sends her friends (hawks, eagles, falcons) to retaliate.

  18. Wow, what a cute little birdie! I'm normally up for bashing such critters, but he's really sweet and tiny. Maybe his mom will come find him and finish teaching him to fly.
