Update--Roxy's Ear


Roxy went to the Vet's yesterday ( Saturday) morning.  Dr C closed the wound with tissue adhesive and gave HER some stuff for a bandage and hold down the ear.  Roxy acted all pitiful.

See her Peanut Butter Yoghurt bar under her chin? She did eat it.
 By this morning, the bandage was more like a collar--but the tip of the ear was still held in place.  It didn't seem to bother her.  Here she is in her stalking position.  She's waiting for Bella to move, so she can attack.

Can't I have this thing off?
She was re-bandaged after our walk this morning, but by afternoon,  managed to free her ear, so we went for a walk without a bandage.  So far, there has been no more bleeding.  The glue seems to be working!

The blood has been removed from the wall, doors......
and the carpet was cleaned this morning.  The house no longer looks like a murder scene.

    Oh Roxy, Roxy, Roxy. First off, I will tell you that ears bleed like the dickens so you need to be mindful of your wound. You might even need, dare I say it, the cone of shame. That's just the way things go.

    Not all doggies are friendly and when we are on our leashes things are a bit more hazardous. I hope that you get better soon.

    Poor Roxy... TWO trips to the Dogtor. I am glad you had your Yogurt Bone fur COMFORT. They must be wonderful.
    I am really glad that your home no longer looks like a murder scene...
    I like your new header pic.. butt I kinda miss that gorgeous yellow tree.

    Doggie ears are always hard to keep bandaged and it doesn't take much to make them bleed like crazy but so long as the glue holds we think she will be fine

    Those ears really do bleed--Good thing it wasn't a 'Scottie ear' you'd never be able to put a bandage on it!! But I hope Roxy continues to mend--We're sending healing thoughts from Virginia!!

    Roxy, you silly girl. Keep your bandage on long enough for the wound to heal a little so you can at least shake your ears!! and sometimes let he other dog make the first move!!
