The Park

Early yesterday morning (Thursday) we went for a quick 'business' walk and then piled in the car to go to our main Park.  SHE wanted to get some pictures of us with the Jacarandas flowering.

Daisy, Bella and Roxy (the Cenotaph...War memorial in background)

Notice Roxy's pose.  She usually throws out one leg....
Then we went for a walk through the park......

Heading back to the car.  That's the Train Station in the background.

Me, Daisy
We had a great time!
Note: that was a Bougainvillea that we were posing in front of in 'Black dogs and Shadows.'

  9. We get the lovely Jacarandas in April, but mostly in Phoenix. We're a little colder and they don't do well here (only 40 miles away but we're 1000 feet higher).

  12. What a beautiful park with all those trees!! We have Jacarandas here to - mom loves them 'cos when they bloom they are a reminder that Christmas is around the corner. There was an attempt a couple of years back to have all the Jacarandas in Pretoria (there are A LOT of them in Pretoria) cut down because they are not indigenous but I think the public outcry won the vote - they are just too pretty.

    Have a grrrreat weekend girls!

  14. That top photo especially is just gorgeous. And if any of those jacaranda petals got caught up in Scottie furs and trailed into the house, I don't suppose SHE would have minded too much.

  29. Your jacarandas are gorgeous. They grow very well here in the Australia of the US--very southern Southern California. We don't have one, but many neighborhoods here have lots and lots of them. The neighborhood I grew up in had them lining the Main Street. Beautiful!
