First of all, about the new header. After 8 years our Bird of Paradise finally has flowers!!!
This morning we all packed into the car and went to Sandy Beach. Usually, we park further down the river and walk; but today we parked near the beach so Kendra could come, too.
Kendra. Bella and I are already down by the river. |
Bella and I enjoyed the water, while Kendra headed off in the wrong direction--as usual. She had to be retrieved before she got lost.
Bella and I, Daisy, enjoyed the water.
In the video, you can hear all the cockatoos squawking.

We had loads of fun in the sand--but we'll save some of that for tomorrow.

Even Kendra had a fabulous time.
Yea I heard lots of squawking, but I was more horrified that you girls merrily go into that water - it would need to be a bazillion degrees for me to do that!!

The new header is beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a super sandy walk. I love your little sandy faces. It's a bit early for Sandy Claws, though, isn't it.
I like that Kendra does her own thing but has you all looking out for her too.
Love and licks, Winnie
Kendra seems to have enjoyed the sand !
ReplyDeleteBird of Paradise is our Granny's favorite flower - but it doesn't grow here in Virginia - too cold. Whenever we go south and it's blooming, we try to bring some back for her.

Wow, you sure did have a lot of fun in that sand - hope that didn't mean the dreaded baths upon getting home:) Maybe you should all have followed Kendra - the older and maybe wiser pup might have known about something good down that path:) So good to see her getting down to the river too.

What a fun time playing in the water, but did you guys eat sand? We like to eat dirt sometimes, but Mom has a fit when we do it.

We seem to be having a problem signing in to your blog....!
ReplyDeleteHere goes another try - we just love the Bird of Paradise - absolutely beautiful. Cannot believe you are actually lucky enough to be able to grow it in your own garden.
