We 're joining Sarge and the others in Blogville 'Giving the Bird'.
We thought we'd start with the Kookaburra. This is the sound that accompanies us on our early morning walks!
(We 'borrowed' it from youtube because we never think to record it.)
What a lively start to the day !

ReplyDeleteCan you believe that Gail once had a boyfriend whose mother, a very respectable consultant gynaecologist originally from Adelaide, had a party piece which involved her entertaining dinner guests by first turning all the lights off and then impersonating a kookaburra . It sounded just like the one on your blog!
ReplyDeleteThinking of Kendra . Here's hoping the Milko gets a warm welcome tomorrow .

We know that our little bipeds love to sing the kookaburrasong, but we are glad we don't have to listen to that bird all the time:)
ReplyDeleteWoos ~ Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
My mum has the softest spot for the kookaburra - she always gets the flashy box out and stalks them. You should see how many shots she had in her holiday collection. You know, she prolly has a Dubbo one in there too!
ReplyDeleteTail Wuggles, Rubie
Wow!! Bart and Ruby sat up and took notice of that sound!! BOL!!
ReplyDeletethat's too cool...imagine a flock of them...a real chorus. PS yes try the vinegar solution for your puppies ears...you may want to start with a 5 to 1 solution....make it weak!!
ReplyDeleteThank goodness we don't have those where I live, it's going to drive me crazy listening to that.
ReplyDeleteHi Everybuddy, we love the kookaburra too. You just can't beat that laugh. We see and hear them on our walks too. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
