Puppy Training

Now, all of you can attest to the difficulties of training humans.  Kendra, Bella and I have all had a turn as puppies to train HER.  And we haven't done too badly.
Daisy                                                  Bella
I, Daisy, did a sterling job  teaching HER to hide cables....especially telephone wires.  I had to chew through a few for HER to finally get the idea.
And many of you will remember Cyclone Bella.  She taught HER not to leave around library books...or any books, cardboard, photo albums.....or shoes.
SHE was upset when SHE left her favourite Birkenstocks ON THE FLOOR and found the strap chewed through.
SHE especially loved those sandals because SHE bought them in Germany conducting the whole transaction in GERMAN! And was told SHE spoke it well! We think the sales ladies were just kind.
In fact, SHE loved them so much, SHE refused to throw them out resulting HER travelling from Dubbo to Virginia (3 flights) before SHE noticed that she was wearing one blue and one black one!!!
SHE eventually replaced them at great expense and one would have thought SHE'd learned a lesson.
Enter Roxy.....who had to train HER again.
However, this time SHE decided to modify the sandals 'cause duck tape wouldn't work. BOL!
We're naming this new style 'The Roxy'.
Bella inspects the new style while Roxy tries to make off with the other for further modification.
Training humans is an uphill battle.

Her stomach is bare because of the ultrasounds.

  1. Oh our poor families. Will they never learn. Our family still haven't learnt to put their socks away and we have to carry them all over the house cause they love to play 'find the sock'.

We are so glad Roxy made your mum's sandals so much more comfortable to wear. Well done Roxy. Kendra, I have a bare belly too. Aren't they just so refreshing and cool. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

  3. Oh you would not believe how much training Gail needed. After all, I was her first ever puppy.
Great job on the shoes, btw, Roxy. But it looks like SHE might be almost as cheap as Gail.

  4. Ohh, those Birkenstocks look exactly like my human's - I like the modification, maybe I will help my human out in the fashion stakes...

I do have a question for you, though - now that there are four of you, where does your human sleep? There can't possibly be room for all of you in the bed!

  6. Roxy should be a fashion designer. I think the modifications she made to the sandals are great.

We dogs have style and the sooner poor humans realise it the better.

Nice to see Kendra having a roll on the lawn.

Lots of love and licks (especially to Kendra)

  9. OMD OMD... I am sure the ROXYs will be hittin the Birkenstock Shelves SOON. I hope that they give Roxy some of the PROFITS.

I feel your Pain.. Training these Two Leggers is a real chore. They learn so SLOWLY and Furget so often. They are simply DULL and THICK HEADED.

Grrrrreat to see that Kendra is having some fun.

  16. What did Kendra's ultrasound reveal? We still have our paws crossed for her. Having Roxy around will probably add some zip to her life.

Mazel tov on adopting Roxy! Or is the two week trial still on? She looks to us like she fits right in. How old is she? Has she been down to the big pond yet?

  17. Ah yes, that puppy training really is quite demanding - we are having to work on it here while our SHE has only one available working arm and hand.

  21. Wow, I can understand the problem. My peeps are also slow to learn. They know if the bathroon trash gets close to the top, I'll reach in and grab tissues to shred! They KNOW this, yet seem surprised every time. I bet those shoes were a lot of fun to chew on! BOL

  27. It took us a long time to train our humans, especially about remote controls. They didn't seem to catch on to the putting them up high thing. Finally Tsar chewed three of them in two days and they figured it out. Talk about slow learners!
