Poor Pitiful Puppy

Look at this sad face.  Isn't it pitiful?
Last night, during wild war games with Bella and me.....I was the ref....Roxy managed to hurt her back paw.  So it was a quick trip to the V.E.T.S.  (We think Roxy is going for the Oscar with her Pitiful Pup Performance). Nothing broken, the vet thinks she may have stretched a ligament or something similar to a football injury.
And she came away with some anti-inflammatory tablets.

BUT....

The vet said she isn't to go on walks or anything for TWO weeks and we have to keep try to keep her quiet. (Like that's going to happen).  This morning, it's back to war games.  She'll have to miss the 6 a.m. walk.  That's not going to go down well.
But, we'll try to keep her quiet.

On a sad note..when we left the vets there was a 6-month old puppy brought in with Parvo.
Why don't people vaccinate their pups?

  1. Poor Roxy! We hope the meds make her feel better. Those things happen when you are young and want to have fun!

Parvo is so bad, hope that pup will be OK.

  3. Get better soon, Roxy. We have all sorts of foot and leg problems here lately. Mom says she's going to tie us down if we don't stop racing like crazy animals. By the way, we like war games, too.

  9. Poor Roxy. I'm so sorry she hurt her little paw. It's hard to be quiet and still...ESPECIALLY when you're a puppy. I hope she heals up super, duper FAST!

  12. Oh Roxy - I know how you feel - last Monday during schnauzer play-day - I skidded and took skin off BOTH my back paws - mum was worried and I wouldn't stop licking them. SHE then put stuff on them and plastered them with band-aids!!!! Oh the misery then!! But they are all better, and you will be all better soon!!

    Sam and Pippen

PeeS. Somebuddy should tell the rescues in your area to get Santa Paws in.. that's what ours was for $10 per picture and there were a gazillion doggies there!

PeeS2. The lady that took our green papers thought Pippen was a Scottie! He's half Scottie but mom thinks he looks more like a Schnauzer... what do you guys think???

  16. I can see Roxy is going to have to learn some new strategies for dealing with a houseful of Scotties.

  18. Oh dear. Where to start...well, first, keeping Roxy quiet is like telling a Scottie to stay quiet and still. NOT. Next, about that puppy with parvo. There's NO EXCUSE for this to happen. It makes me so darned mad. I'm heading over your way...it'll take a while, and I'm gonna show that puppy owner the what for.
