Daisy's Drive

Today, I went on a long drive with HER.
Because I'm the one that likes riding in the car.
You know what I'm looking at?
 It's 'The Dish'!
It's near the town of  Parkes not too far from where we live.
There was an interesting view of the world with Australia on top!
If you can get a copy of the Australian movie 'The Dish' (Sam Neil, 2000) watch it.  It's not a great film, but you might be surprised at it's place in history.
Look I climbed a tree.....okay, so it's a branch not far off the ground; but it was a new experience for me.
I enjoyed my day out!
I'll tell you more about this trip another day....
It's a secret.

  16. That was a tad confusing for a moment, because New Guinea is off to the left and we thought it would be on top, so the orientation of the photo is East on top. Of course, the ancient Egyptians drew their maps with Egypt at the center [no surprise] but with South on top because they were more oriented to Africa and the course of the Nile River than to the barbarians to the north or the Mediterranean. A change of perspective is good for us all.

We're not familiar with the movie you recommend, but mama loves Sam Neill!

  19. What a fun day with your mommy Daisy! I love going for car rides, but I have to have a seat belt on and I can't stick my head out the window. I've never tried climbing a tree before either, but it looks fun!
