Adjustments

Adding a new pup to the pack has caused us to make some adjustments.  One of the biggest..
is Velcro Dog.  As scotties, we love being in the same room, near each other, but we do not cuddle.  Roxy always has to be curled up against someone or some dog, usually Bella, --we think it's a Bull Terrier thing..    It is an adjustment we've all had to make.
She also kisses us all the time.

******
Kendra is well.  She has come out to go on walks and has her own private walk around the front garden and down the street.  She's eating well and barking at people...even if it takes her a little longer to realise that someone's there.
(SHE was shocked the other day when the vet asked HER if SHE wanted a two-week prescription for Kendra instead of one week and SHE hesitated for a second or two....shame!)

  1. Awww. Poor Roxy. She is like Pumpkin who would cuddle with Darby more if Darby would let her. Darby only like so much cuddling--and only on her terms!

  6. Good for you Kendra, keep them all on their toes.

It takes some adjustment getting used to a kissy, cuddly dog. Noah seems to be ours.

  8. We are so happy to hear Kendra is having good days. When my Half Pence was sick and had a good day I called them our days of grace. May Kendra have many many more days of grace. Half Pence was my kissie face beloved companion. Kendra reminds me sooo of him in her facial looks.

  13. We're glad Kendra is hanging on so doggedly :) What else would one expect of a Scottie? You go, girl!

Mazel tov, Roxy, on landing your forever home. We knew you were a lock the first time we saw your cute face. We can't believe you are already allowed to run around off leash!

  15. Good news about Kendra!
I love cuddles but Gail tells me that my predecessor Hamish the Westie was like you Scotties, just enjoying being in the same room.

  16. Hi guys

I'm not a big cuddler, but when my brother Rupert was with us, he used to puppy-pile on top of me or my human - or both at once if he could manage it. At first I was a little alarmed, but then I got used to it.

Now it's just me and my human, and the only time I really snuggle is in bed - I like to snuggle my bottom against her face all night.

Glad to hear Kendra's doing well!

    Puppy kisses

  17. I had to grin at your post. Of course one of the very first things I found out was that Scotties are not cuddlers, but I make Todd go through it anyway and he puts up with it!

I'm glad to read the news about Kendra. I have found there's something about those private walks that make the best memories.
