We're off for our morning walk, walking in the reserve next to the High School Ag plot.
Bella cannot be trusted off-lead |
Bella checks the pumpkin....it's supported by a net. |
The chickens are making their usual racket.
The lamb is growing up. The other sheep make a wall between
us and the lamb.
And the horses are back!
They always come to the fence when we come to see them.
Dogs and horses sharing the same tuft of grass. |
In the next paddock there's something new.
A mother and baby.
The first time we saw them, the mother always got between us and her baby.
But now, she lets the baby come right up to the fence to say hello.
Roxy is getting much better at 'keeping calm' and not barking.
We saw these ducks flying overhead.
Flying....west??!!
Who's their navigator?
You have a very interesting walk with lots of sights to see, you're so lucky. That's a great shot of the ducks - perhaps they have a sat-nav!
ReplyDeleteLove that last photo.
ReplyDeleteAnd how I would have loved to have had an 'Ag Plot' at school.
Cheers, Gail .
You have such cool critters to say hello to. I would not be trusted off leash. I once chased a horse all the way down the beach and peeps had to say sorry to the lady. I just wanted to join in the fun. Peeps ruins everything. Have a terrific Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Morning to my ladies DownUnder!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice area for your morning walk...all the critters make for interesting conversations.
So that is a high school strictly aimed at agriculture? What a great idea.
We love the little pony!
Lots of hugs madi your BFFF
A great place to walk.
ReplyDeleteLove Ruby & Penny
Nice morning walk! I think it's great that you can check out the animals that closely without them being scared. Good time sniffings for all.
ReplyDeleteThe ducks can blame it on global warming...they seem to blame everything on that. How cool that you get some nose to nose time with the horses
ReplyDeleteSo fun that you have such an interesting place for the pups to take their walk.
ReplyDeleteWHat a great walk! You've got so much to see so close by. Wondering about those birds though....hmmm....
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun place to walk... Love the babies
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun walk. Good for you managing to catch the photo of the birds (flying west??) We saw two perfect "V" formations the evening before last but didn't have the camera handy.
ReplyDeleteThose look like the very same ducks that flew over head here last week! Are they in a race to circumnavigate the world or something? Oh what a wonderful place to be able to visit and sniff. I know I'd be on my best behaviour there.....NOT! I learn quickly though.
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Sophie and Ron
You girrrrls have some grrreat morning walk furends. We love to see the babies with their moms. You are really brave to get so close to them.
ReplyDeleteWow… you have so many critters and furfriends to visit on your walkies. I'm so jealous. I only have another doggie or two (if they are walking with I'm out).
ReplyDeleteHave a good day.
Wags,
Ranger
Ducks in the Southern Hemisphere can't fly south for the coming winter so west will have to do. A duck has to be somewhere else.
ReplyDeleteMan, you guys have the most awesome place for some walkies, we just get to stand at the back forty fence and bark at our stuff!

What a fun place to walk! Those BIG DOGS are beautiful, especially the baby. Mom is hoping our local donkeys come out to their pasture soon so Phantom can go visit his buddies.

Chickens, there was a story on the evening news about the growing population of chicken being raised in the city limits in Cincinnati tonight. Seems the thing to do is have your own fresh eggs now. We see them alot when we walk.
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a friend
Sweet William The Scot
I have never seen any of those kinds of animals up close so thank you for showing me. Horses are soooooooo big, it is kind of scary. Bella, I can't be trusted off lead either, we both like to wonder I guess.
