Yesterday we went to the HUGE sports ground.
They have about 870 games played simultaneously on Saturdays. |
And I, Daisy, got lost!
Daisy at a happier time. |
(These are old pictures.)
Bella and Roxy were running around while I caught up on some pee-mail gossip.
Bella, decided to have a poo right at the end of a cricket pitch.
SHE grabbed a bag and then looked for a bin. There was one way over on the side, so SHE walked over there. Roxy and Bella followed.
BUT
I didn't see them go. When I looked up, I couldn't see anyone. I thought I WAS ALL ALONE!
I panicked.
I raced back to the car, but they weren't there. I could hear HER calling and whistling, but couldn't tell from which direction, so I raced down to our beach to see if they were there.
Next I ran up to where we started our walk.
By then, I spied them walking towards me. I was so happy.
I ran as fast as my short, 9-year-old legs could carry me!
And made sure I wasn't alone for the rest of the walk.
Have you ever been lost? It's scary.
Oh my gosh! I bet your people were just as happy to find you again as you were to find them! How very scary for everyone!
ReplyDeleteHope unless before THEY got me, hope you got a special dinner cause THEY LOST YOU.

I've never been lost. They've been lost, however.
ReplyDeleteWhen Pippen was just a wee puppy, we ran away from mom and out of the park and around the neighbourhood... it was GREAT fun! That is until we found mom again and then WOWEE! Were we in TRUBBLES! We didn't get treats for two days and mom didn't speak to us for EVER!
ReplyDeleteIs that the same as getting lost???
Sam and Pippen
Oh! Daisy! Getting lost or being the mom of a lost one is terrible! I'm glad your story had a happy ending!
ReplyDeleteThank doG you were reunited with your family, Daisy! We can only imagine how scary it is to be lost!

ReplyDelete~Weinerful Gang~
OMD, Daisy, we know how scary it is! We don't ever want any of our furbuddies going through it!
ReplyDeleteSometimes we get so wrapped up in smelling all those great smells on the beach or running to meet the closest dogbuddy, and when we turn around we don't see our pawrents anywhere! We can hear them and we run towards someone who smells like them, but then we get close and it's not! Then we do this over and over until we see them waving their arms. Why they make themselves look so silly is beyond us.

Daisy you better stick with the clan!
ReplyDeleteThat does sound scary. I don't think I have ever been lost, but I do have selective hearing. Sometimes, I can't hear them calling me..."say what?"
ReplyDeleteWyatt
You are so smart to have found your way back! Way to go. That must have been scarrrry! If I don't see Ma where she is SUPPOSE TO BE, I get a little nuts. Keep an eye on those peeps....they can be stealthy, you know.

Daisy - Nothing is quite as frightening as being lost .
ReplyDeleteWell in this household we do have a difference of opinion about whether you define being temporarily more than a certain distance away from your human as 'having a great adventure tracking an awesome scent' or 'lost'.....
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie.
PS I'll be posting on a closely related topic tomorrow!
I've never been lost......but when Scarlet and Zoe joined me at the B&B last year - we adventured off together....WE knew exactly where WE were....

ReplyDeleteI haven't been lost before by my Uncle Fergus has been.
Once the pest man came to check his yard for termites and left the gate open. Fergus wandered off and no human could find him!
Later that afternoon my human and her mum were driving around looking for him and found him being quite, um, affectionate to a lady dog a few streets over. I don't think he was very scared though...
Hi Daisy, how are you doing? Hope everything is going well.
ReplyDeleteWell, getting lost the is most terrible thing to happen..

Fox lost his eye. We found him at the shelter. I am soooo happy you knew how to find you peeps and them you because there is no worse feeling that loosing you fur baby.
