Naturally, we have no pictorial evidence for this story--BUT it is true.
Last September SHE went to Virginia. From our house that entails: airport wait of 2 hours (plane was delayed) followed by an hour flight to Sydney....change of terminals, walking and bus ride....another couple hours wait, 14 hour flight..arrive in Los Angeles, customs, change of terminals another long walk, 3 hour wait, 5 hours to Virginia.
In short, a long time in transit.
The next day while shopping with her sister, she looked down and discovered she was wearing different coloured sandals!!!
She'd travelled half-way around the world without noticing!!!
Flaky or what???
Daisy, Roxy Bella |
This is us so you remember what we look like.
We are having a disagreement in this household.
ReplyDeleteGail says that SHE is clearly not a flake, rather a sensible woman who does not waste lots of time looking in the mirror and worrying about her appearance as she has more interesting things to do (like travelling the world).
I say, no, Daisy, Bella and Roxy are right. SHE is a flake.
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
urmm... SHE can't be as flaky as the cow :) Happy New Year to you girls :)

Puddles
Sorry everybuddy, but yes your mum is pretty flaky although we must give her credit for noticing after such a long haul flight. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteHe he he ..... that does have "flake" quality. My mum says that she can understand what happened - she was busy lookin' at her tickets, bags, passport, security checks and stuffs like that.....WAY more portant than her feets!!
ReplyDeleteTail Wuggles, Rubie
Heeeheeeeeeeeeee!!!! Well, at least they were both SANDALS, and not one sandal and one high-heel!! Then her would have been lop-sided!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, that must be a very common Mom flakey trait - ours has done the same thing with shoes and socks. One time she was at a very important business dinner with Dad when she looked down and was just mortified to see one black and one navy shoe on her feet. She made a quick exit and raced to her room in the hotel to fix things.
ReplyDeleteWe love your new header.
Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
Can you imagine how many people saw that and wondered if she was sober.
ReplyDeleteThats a good one.
bert
BaaaaaWaaaaah... Hysterical.. I can just hear your mom being given traveling directions..
ReplyDeleteGo to the first corner and turn to the RED side and at the next corner turn toward the BLUE side.
Since the household has Kenzie (the Westie) and me, She got a Christmas gift of black and white salt and pepper shakers. Yup, you guessed it-the salt went into the Scottie and the pepper into the Westie. Poor Christmas dinner guests.
ReplyDeleteWe betcha that not too many hoomans noticed, thank goodness!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots
Maggie and Mitch

ReplyDeleteDachshund Nola
I'd be wearing different collars, too, if I had to do all that traveling.
ReplyDeleteArooo, Stuart

How flakey! We gave you an award on my bloggy!
ReplyDeleteThis "Two Different Shoe Phenomenon" seems to be more prevalent in Blogville than we would have thought! BOL! Definitely flaky, BUT we gotta give your Mom a bit of a break! We would be surprised if she remembered her own NAME after flying THAT LONG! BOL!
ReplyDeleteThe Road Dogs
Oh my word! BOL. Check her feet before she walks with you
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
